Will DayZ Mod work with ARMA2 Free?

Title says it all. I just downloaded ARMA 2 Free to see if it lives up to all of the videos i have seen. But more importantly I downloaded it for DayZ, now I have looked a little over the internet to see if the question could be answered and I seeem to be seeing varrying answers. So ultimately, will the DayZ Mod work on ARMA 2 Free**?

As long as you have Operation arrowhead, yes. The textures will not be as good, but it should work nonetheless.

You can't get Operation Arrowhead for free. You can try ARMA II for free here.

Well no, you can get ArmA II for free but you need both ArmA II and Arma II:Operation Arrowhead to play DayZ.

I was under the impression you need the PMC addon for the high res ghillie suite and the player clothing, regardless of how good your machine is? Otherwise you get the low res version. Is that not the case? It used to be as Ive seen people on youtube with the low res clothing on DayZ.

Every post in this thread is telling you that you need ArmA 2 AND Operation Arrowhead, there is no "seemingly" :P
