Admin perks? Rhino Crunch video.

So I just watched a new Rhino Crunch video, where he has his own server where he spawns everyone with a custom loadout, because hes so bored with DayZ as is. I guess I'm confused about what server admins can and cant do. What is he doing, turning off battleye then scripting? Seems like you can do whatever the fuck you want when you run a server, which is kinda upsetting and contrary to what I thought. Can an admin just globally ban you arbitrarily also?

Since it is a Private Hive, he's allowed to do this.

Well, he's not hacking, but most likely using a hive partner (like ersan191)'s GUI to enhance things like giving the player weapons when they spawn, whether it's night or day, how many vehicles etc.

It's just an arma mission like any other in the end, anything can be put in to an extent. Only battle eye can global ban you. I'll tell you one thing they can do is get vehicle and other things coordinates and go snatch them up in game, only shitty admins do this though.

Yeah I just rented a server yesterday and was surprised by how much power I have over the server.

I changed the starting gear slightly, on my server you start with a bandage, morphine and a hatchet.

It is pretty nice spawning with *something* to protect yourself with, but other than that, I refuse to abuse my power..

I was tempted to spawn myself a helicopter, but that would take all the fun out of finding and repairing one.

You also can see where players and vehicles are, which can obviously be abused, but in order to use it, you have to open the map in your control panel..

Private hives are supposed to be for communities to play together, but a shitty admin can definitely abuse it easily.

Even though I think he's a total moron for his rants about Warz especially considering he makes money on DayZ he has got a good idea. Considering some of the shit I have seen ingame and on this forum I wouldn't mind paying to have access to a private hive spanning a few servers. At least there would be a filter to keep the scum and kids out and possible complaints would be taken seriously.

I have one of those too, but I don't charge anyone to access it, although donations are always welcome..

As you can see from my control panel, I have access to all sorts of goodies.

Also, clicking on that minimap will take me to a large, interactive map which shows all the vehicles and player locations on the server.. you can even make it "live" so you get trails where all the players and vehicles go.

I always wondered how players could just show up and kill me when I was deep in the wilderness somewhere, or when I come across a clan's camp on their server and they somehow knew I was there despite not being online..

Trick is to have a bunch of good dudes that actually want to have fun with you.. not use their "hacks" to hunt you down and give you free butt sex.

Anyway, here's what I get from DayZ.ST :)

Yeah that Rhino dude is a complete narcissist, which in turn makes him a hypocritical Christian. Pride is a deadly sin. I wonder if Jesus likes him playing PvP shooters.
