DayZ mod - game forum transfer

This is just a question for anyone one who has any information/supports this idea.

Does anyone know if the forum's member list will be carried over from here to the DayZgame.com? I have looked around a bit to see if I could find any information, but I haven't. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Otherwise, i don't think it would be such a bad idea. I mean, such a great community has been built here and people have spent a lot of time on the mod forums and built quite a reputation. Anyway, do you guys know if this will be happening? And do you support this idea?

If this belongs in the suggestions area, do feel free to move it there. I was unsure of whether to put it here or there as it isn't really a focused 'suggestion'.

Certainly a question and a damn good one.

I have absolutely no clue on the matter at all, i've heard nothing about it to be honest, but i agree with you that if the forums are to change upon the release of the Stand Alone that at leads the mod team are moved across but that also would mean splitting the team between the mod forums here and the new SA forums. Running both without a bigger team would be near impossible,

I do hope though someone has some more solid answers as i for one am now very intrigued.

Yes indeed. I think it would be great, personally. You could keep track of everything you've posted previously too. Maybe even some sort of linked forum with both SA and mod areas.

And if you didn't like the idea of keeping the same account you could just as easily create a new one.

I really do hope this gets looked into :)

It would certainly make sense to save money on hosting by sharing one forum between the mod and the standalone.

They transferred forum data when they overhauled the forums a few months ago. They'll probably just swap domains when the alpha releases.

After reading into it i think we are just being merged and everything to do with the mod will just become another Thread on the new Standalone forums meaning everyone gets to stay exactly where they are...

O.P Yeah it'd been said before (can't remember by who but it was a team member) that they'd be using this foruym for the game as well.
