i was playing with a playing friend of mine. we were pretty close and we had play for a long time. but then, when we were running to NW airfield, he said: BEHIND YOU! and i asked: where?! and he started shooting at me. first i thought it was accident, and started talking to him in steam chat. after a long pause, he said "im enjoying this, it was fun" then i asked him did he do it by meaning and he said yes. because of my gear -.- i had good stuff, Mp5, AKM, L85 AWS, lots a food and ammo. but i never expected it coming FROM HIM. then he deleted and blocked me in steam aswell as skype. what i learned from this? TRUST NO-ONE.

I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you, Brack but it says a lot more about your friend than you. He's clearly still a child and has a lot of growing up to do. It's horrible when someone betrays you but don't let it change you! I've been betrayed and killed in dayz so many times but to this day, I've never pointed my gun at another player, let alone killed anyone. You learned that you can't trust him, that people are not always trustworthy but that doesn't mean no one can be trusted.

Remember you lost what you thought was a friend but he lost a true friend and probably doesn't even understand the impact that will have. Now he won't have you to rely on anymore. :beans:

When reading stories like this I usually wonder whether OP had said something they shouldn't have (such as a racial slur or something else that usually tends to turn things sour) shortly before things went south.

Alternatively, your "friend" may have been that anomalous type of human known as a sociopath...

uhh sry that ive not been commenting this for a while but seems like my thread is pretty populated... its 100% true, he killed me just for my gear.. i was borrowing him my L85, with that, i was stupid, maybe not, because i trusted to him. and Sula, ty for your comment, and all other guys too. thanks. yea this didnt change me, im not gonna start betraying my friends, have never done that, never will. i will not start playing as a bandit etc. im trying to play as good, or neutral, and not get on the bandit side.

If you are referring to me, I didn't shoot you for being a bandit, since I am almost always a friendly player. I shot you because I couldn't take your 13 year old voice and brain anymore. No offense. Also, if you really were referring to me, we played a couple of weeks, not a year.

Well, if you see me in any dayz servers I never shoot at or kill players. I would if shot at but would never start an attack on another player.

So you are safe to join me if you see me. I play under my nickname Sula and sometimes under Reilly but often make up a name if I feel like being anonymous. If you ever see a player called "Quick, where's the bar, I'm so thirsty!" that would be me too. :thumbsup:
