Yeah I fixed the map tool but disabled the right click for now until I get it fixed. There's a problem upgrading to 1.7.3 where it deleted any vehicles that weren't at their spawnpoints, I've written a script that will re-add the vehicles and create new spawn points based on where they currently are (this is the only way to get the vehicles back unfortunately) and applied it to all of the servers. IF YOUR OLD VEHICLES ARE GONE PLEASE TRY RESTARTING YOUR SERVER, IF THAT DOES NOT FIX IT THEN CONTACT SUPPORT If you don't want so many spawnpoints on the server you have to manually remove them, the ones added will have an id of over 10000. If you delete a spawn point you must also delete the vehicle associated with it, so you can either map the vehicles to the spawn points manually or just delete them entirely. In this version of bliss (4.0) vehicles are required to have a spawn point (aka an entry in world_vehicle) or you cannot add them.

I have somewhat of an issue with this update, *its fine just a little mad* I logged out to update dayz version and i log back to my priv hive, and all my vechics were gone. I looked where they would normally spawn like northeast and gorka, nothing. Does the server need a restart? and after the restart will vehicles return to where they normally spawn - if not moved, or will stay where ever someone saved them at.

Probably a glitch, i know that today, I switched back to chernarus rMod cause Lingor 1.0 doesn't quite work well with rMod (actually had to use the chernarus version with a few errors but the lingor version kept giving a missing anmation error, but the chernarus version worked) and now with the new update, I get the dreaded black screen that says the server is running the wrong version contact dayz staff and none of my friends can get on either. This new map spawn thing looks pretty cool especially buildings, I wonder if you can use the extended vehicles on any other map besides chernarus + rMod. I wish that FPSRad would port rMod to the other maps beside .34 lingor and chernarus. -
Okay all servers updated to 1.7.3 - looking into the vehicle issues, i do not recommend restoring from backup at this time - wait for me to determine the problem. What they did is require every vehicle to have a spawn point in the database (in world_vehicle) - if your vehicle was not at its spawn point it was deleted. I'm sure I can come up with a way to add spawnpoints for vehicles that didn't have them from a backup, just give me some time, working on it. Also the map tool isn't working yet, it will be soon.

1.7.3 is out! Unfortunately due to changes in the way vehicles are handled all vehicles that aren't sitting at a default spawn point are deleted with the update. I'm looking into ways to save your vehicles but it may not be possible. If vehicles have to get wiped I will try to make it as painless as possible. -

I am having exactly the same problem my server has been wiped also. I noticed the server has been updated to latest version of DAYZ 1.7.3 and patch 98220, all my vehicles are gone and replaced with default spawns. I have tried to backup from a previous database and nothing. I am sure this is just a tempory clitch and Ersan is working on it, but I really hope I have not lost all my vehicles. -
BattlEye doesn't do much, they stop only those minor hacks and most of the major hacks are private. In my experience, It's really bad now. This game is now officially ruined by them. Theres no way to avoid them anymore. Everytime we have good geas and vehicles, they come and kill us with super fast floating speed. It wasn't bad way back before but now, everyday a hacker ruins our public server.

WTF is everyone so concerned about not being able to eat in vehicles? I've played hundreds of hours and I don't think I've once cracked open a tin of beans whilst driving. If anything you're going to have cleaner seats so can we stop asking about it now? Cheers.

This topic is for those who are in search of active, mature-enough players to play dayz maps. Little info on what we do. We make a group call in Skype, find a Vilayer server(only servers we play on), we find each other using vehicles/running/helicopters. After we get ready to hop to a more populated server to encounter more people who could be friendly or bandits. From there gentlemen whatever happens, happens. We do not joke around shooting each other, if you do so, you will be looked down upon, and if continued, will be killed and blocked from Skype. We encourage more players who are experienced, so finding each other won't be a hassle when dealing with new comers. Also if you have a really annoying kid voice, we will block you from the start. Typical regular maps we play on frequently: Chenarus, fullujah, lingor, namalsk, zargabad Requirements: 18+ must have Skype all maps downloaded or will be downloaded must live within 1-5 hour time zones from PST if you have any other questions feel free to send me a message on here or skype my skype username mdmiked

There's no forum yet because we decided to wait to pay for a web host until we know we have a bigger player base. Admins are swedish, so therefore only swedish and english is allowed to be spoken on the server. Only english voice chat. Please feel welcome to join! Server settings/facts: Thirdperson: ON Crosshair: ON Nameplates: OFF 70 Vehicles (4 helicopters) Restarts 4 times a day. Always daylight (for the moment) Difficulty: Veteran Active admins (and no, they have no advantage in the game) We have non-tolerance against cheaters and alt+f4's. Doing this will result in a ban, 'nuff said. A website will come if we think it's worth the money and the effort to host and create one. Suggestion for a new death screen

First of all, this was one of the best presented ideas I've seen in a while! The 'death screen' you produced looks great. I agree with the consensus about it showing too much info about the person who killed you. Perhaps just have 'Bandit' , 'Survivor' , 'Zombie' , 'Hero' , 'Environment' , 'Cold' , 'Disease' and perhaps 'Sniper'. The distance walked, zombies killed, etc should definitely remain along with the epic text on the left (but adjusted a little to remove any potentially important info on the player who killed you.) Vehicles driven would be nice as well. A 30 second long window of the 'you are dead screen' should show before this screen shows to keep the 'shock' of seeing it etc. During this time anyone who doesn't particularly want to see their stats can abort the normal way. You could also screen shot the new death screen for bragging rights or for finishing your DayZ diary with if that way inclined. :beans: Have my beans. -

This is why you play on a private hive where the admin can roll back the server if someone does a mass teleport or mass kill. Also, Battle Eye has added over 250 script restriction events where people get kicked if they used them. Don't know why people say Battle Eye has done nothing. Standalone will eliminate the most devastating hacks. Teleporting, morphing people into cows, god-mode, dropping tactical nukes and virtually all manner of spawning items and vehicles can be deleted out of the game code outright. The things that will likely persist despite all attempts to squash them are; ESP and other vision hacks, auto-aim and duping exploits. -
The anti hack must be getting better too because I was playing last night and a bandit had wrecked a plane and hopped out of it. I opened fire on him and he disappeared (WTF, I thought and said over mumble) and 2 seconds later, player Tony was banned for teleporting. I also wonder why we aren't able to eat in vehicles was it the only way to get rid of the exploit?

This is the first community + development team generated update for the DayZ mod. It is the culmination of a huge amount of work by both the community and the development team. The half-done 1.7.3 patch was made available to the community, who included many of their own fixes and updates. While dogs are "in" there are some mechanics missing so they cannot currently be used. Both myself and Matt spent a significant amount of time playing this today, and it was a lot of fun.
