Do or Die Gamers on Namalsk we are an active group of gamers who love playing dayz looking for other people who share a love for the game. we are trying to find people not necessarily wanting to join our clan but to just come get involved with us. Of course if you want to join then you are more than welcome! Our server is hosted by dayZ.ST and is a private hive which allows us to basically do whatever we want to our server to make it an awesome experience for everyone weather you play a bandit or a hero. At the moment we are looking for someone to help us out with editing our map to have bases set up using lockable gates. this will give those groups who are able to acquire a pre-made base to have a safe place to store their gear and defend it, as well as helping other new spawns to get a basic gear set so they can make it on their own. Here's a few things about our server! 1. Random tents set up with gear that isn't normally found 2. Eventually permanent bases with locking gates. 3. Custom vehicle spawns allowing more helicopters and land vehicles 4. Active Admins who love to help out..... and also enjoy a bit of pvp action. 5. You will start with a bit of basic gear as a new spawn. We are really looking for someone how has experience editing maps and know how to actually apply that to the server!! Hello everyone, come check out our Taviana server Stomping Grounds. No whitelist or password for now, going to get a decent player base built and then whitelist it. Everything is brand new and all the vehicle spawns are still where they were. As the only admin at the moment I do not horde any vehicles/items. To be honest I just carry the first gun I find and try to help people. If you have any questions please hit me up, Zero tolerance for hackers. To be honest hacking just completely ruins the game, the reason the game is so fun and addicting is scrounging for items. Rules 1.) No combat logging. 2.) No hacking 3.) No voice on side chat 4.) There isn't a rule about spawn camping, but seriously...use common sense, don't be a dick. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions I'm very open to accept. This also goes with any issues/problems. I check the logs regularly also however if I miss a hacker and you spot one please let me know immediately. Just send me a PM anytime. -

Hi there :) I'm just a regular DayZ player, looking for a good server. I'm looking for a server with: Chernarus map (rmod or just servers with more vehicles, buildings, weapons etc..) Non-PVP Password Daylight or somewhere around GMT-8 to GMT-1 Not too many players (0-15) I don't expect a server to have all this, but if you find anything near this, it would be great :) Thanks for reading! :)

Trust no one is a bit much I find. I have been playing since it was just a little baby DayZ and I find that 60-70 percent of people I contact are friendly (using my mic and loud enough that people can hear me). - Be aware of snipers in Electro, Cherno, Northwest airfield, Northeast airstrip and Stary Sobor. - Don't run in the middle of roads, paths or railway tracks but instead keep at least 50 meters away from roadways if at all possible. - Don't waste bullets on zombies unless you have to. - The crossbow is shit for most things. - Always keep plenty of bandages and morphine on hand (I keep 4 bandages and 2 morphine on me at all times). Bloodbag is optional but good choice if playing in a group. - Keep Epi pens in backpack so if you get knocked unconcious and you have a buddy he can access your pack (cant access gear as you are not dead) and use the pen. - Bullet physics and damage are realistic. Most rifles (if not all) are zeroed to 300 meters. Some rifles you can adjust zeroing others you cannot. - If you come across a hostile vehicle aim for the driver or the tires for these will stop vehicle most easily I have found. (engine block is an option if you have an LMG or higher cal AR/rifle however it is much simpler, quicker and effective to aim for the driver or tires unless you have an AS50 or M107 cause in that case engine block shots are just A-ok). - Helicopters are hard to fly, practice in Armoury mode. - If you find an ammo crate with a bunch of guns in it, its probably (99.9% sure) hacked in. You risk getting banned if you take a hacked gun from crate. - ARMA 2 and OA are great games on their own I strongly advise trying out ACE mod with them. - Do not leave vehicles or tents in debug plain, they will not be there for long. - Meat from animals helps regain lost blood. You need a hunting knife, hatchet, matches and wood to gut the animal and cook meat. Go up to a tree (in the woods) and in the gear menu right click on hatchet and select "harvest wood". - Hueys guns cannot be reloaded at this time. - People will kill you for your vehicle, be carefull. Almost all servers now are private hives so you will most likely be playing on one when you start. Private hives vary from server to server, some have different gear selections, added buildings etc. -
The reasons i would give to join the server: There has been no records of hackers on the server. The admin doesn't abuse his power Taviana has a lot of vehicles. (also abola he is by him self and dose not get involved in gun fights and killing him without good reason will cause both clans to go after you.) I and my friend played Madness server 6 as usualy. In one time we go to break and when i came back i have bad cd key. I restore my computer and i came back to play dayz. Now i morning and i try play the game. But i have to Global ban #da2be3. What i can do if i can will play that game again. BTW, here's where you'll find the private servers: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/forum/64-private-hive-discussion/ It can be a tad confusing if you're new because there's so many variations to choose from. I would look for one that isn't too heavily customised (some admins add hundreds of vehicles and so on which for me isn't a good thing). Try and find a well established one with good feedback. If you struggle to find one gimme a shout and I can recommend a few. -

don't see a big problem here but the SA should have all basic features implemented...this means the overhauled map including eye candy and stuff, new controls, new inventory, new medic system, new crafting (repair) item system, new loot system, new clothing system, new weather system ? overhauled nights and last but not least overhauled Zombies,...if possible a few new goodies like new weapons , vehicles or items perhaps..... however in other words ...a fully functioning basic game..updates and new contents would be additions to make the game better and not to complete it...

So I am starting this Topic to see what the DayZ community would like to see in the standalone version of Dayz, hopefully our ideas will give the dev team some inspiration to implement some of these ideas into the actual standalone Dayz. Post your ideas below and lets hope the dev team reads it! Here is my idea. DayZ is a fantastic game by itself and how its made now. But it would be nice to see some other features added just to keep the game exciting and interesting. Things like Safe Havens, factions, like you choose if you want to be a survivor or bandit. These are my ideas and hopefully you guys can share yours. Safe Havens - A little area / town thats protected by survivors, it would be used to chat to fellow survivors for going out to find weapons, food, drinks, vehicles, helis. Would also be interesting if the "Safe Haven" would be randomly attacked by hoards of Zombies, if there is enough players guarding the Safe Haven it can be protected. If there is minimal amount of players. the Zombies can overrun the safe haven, and would require a small team to re take it. The Safe Haven would also be used for emergency food / water supply, though, you can't take any of those supplies with you, and there would be limited amount of supplies, you can run out of supplies if abused, and the only way to re-supply would band together with survivors and scavenge for food / water. Of course there would only be one Safe Haven, so people wouldn't feel to need to just abuse the supplies so they don't find the need to find it for themselves. Like if a person just needed food / water because their indicators were flashing red and it was needed because you would die otherwise. Missions - There would be NPC / AI characters that would require you ( or a team of survivors ) to help them, like to clear out zombies, get food / water for them. ammunition or medical supplies etc. and rewards would be things like a can of pasta / soda. Or Ammunition ( 1-2 mags ) though the ammunition / medication would be rare in quests so it can't be abused. Yes the whole point of DayZ is to survive and scavenge on your own or with a friend. And survive, but to make it that more realistic, if a real world Zombie Apocalypse were to happen. This is something that would possibly happen. A small town with people / missions that require you to do for others. Also for the Safe Haven, If people use the Supplies in the Safe Haven, it has a chance of running out. And the only way to replenish the supply is to scavenge food / water / medicine till the supply is filled back up. Hospital / ward in Safe Haven - A little ward that you can go to treat a broken limb or require a blood transfusion. ( again, if used a lot you can run out of supplies and require to scavenge for it) It would be server wide too, if the safe haven runs out of - food, water, medicine like blood bags, epi-pens, bandages etc it would require survivors to band together and scavenge supplies for the safe haven only - they can't take any of the supplies until the safe haven is filled. I think this would be a great idea to put in the stand alone game as it could give players more fun and things to do. other than respawning, gathering items, dying from a douche player - repeat. DayZ is fine how it is, but would be great to see things like this implemented, more real life feel to it, I think. Post your ideas below and lets see if the devs respond or put some of these ideas for the stand alone. And if anyone can send this topic to the devs so they can read it :P -
I have been running ACRE on my server for the past few days now, implementing it was a pain in the ass, but I have radios spawning in chopper crashes, and it works flawlessly People have been raving about how great the experience is with radios Currently players spawn with a 343. [i may have them spawn in residential areas if I can add a spawn without editing the mod) 148's 117's and 152's are in the chopper crash spawns with a probability of 0.8 Also, some vehicles such as choppers and military transport vehicles have radio racks, each rack carries a 117, which seem to be getting quite a bit of use. here is some info on the server if anyone is interested: http://www.reddit.co...n_for_business/ currently these are the mods that we have chosen to use: @CBA_OA;@CBA;@CBA_A2;@JayArma2Lib;@ACRE;@DayZ;@stmovement;@st_acre_volume;@rMod;@JSRS We recently started working on implementing ACE, I've also set a road map for including ACE wounds and intertwining the blood system into it. [it's going be interesting with stamina, and the ability to overdose on morphine and epi, although repacking a version of the DayZ mod to support ace may not be completely worth while.] As far as I can tell having ACRE has greatly increased teamwork, people now make it a point to make contact with others, they end up forming groups as opposed to foolishly killing each other. What is also quite interesting is the meta game that is now involved, people can spy on radios if they catch chatter on a frequency this makes ComSec almost crucial.[@st_acre_volume, is nice as it allows you to whisper when in close quarters situations, and allows you to shout if you need to yell to someone across the road] I will be implementing ACRE's auto join teamspeak script [which is experimental] but I feel it may not be too important to focus on. Ongoing Server Maintenence ~ Please be aware that we are currently in the process of reworking our vehicle spawn points on the server. All vehicles that have not already been taken by players have been temporarly deleted while we work out the new spawn locations. Vehicles should be spawning again within the next 48 hours. played it for 6 hours till 5 in the morning with a friend over skype the other day. It's one of the best times on dayz ive had in awhile. It's odd how things are backwards from how Chernarus is. Namalsk is way more PvE since I literally found no food until I traveled from bottom of the map to vorkuta. I killed 60 zombies and none dropped any food. Also by backwards I mean there's guns everywhere in Namalsk but hardly any food but in chernarus I always have no problem with food always find abundance of food whenever I need it however guns are harder to find. First time I went into object A2 I couldn't believe the stuff I found, there were 3 akms (not that special but still pretty good guns) an m107, a g36c silenced, silenced m# of some kind cant remember, and the gun I took with me an ak with a sniper scope and grenade launcher with 3 grenades. Towers are also full of guns it's crazy haha. Only complaints would be food is WAY too scarce outside of Vorkuta (I hope it's either just that server or really really bad luck) and again maybe its just the server but didn't find any vehicles other than a few boats. -
Indeed, same applies with custom vehicles (We have the world famous Brony Bus) It's nice thing to see on servers, like Steak also said we have custom buildings too, just adds extra things that veteran players will find fun looking about for...

You don't say where you are from, but look for StormerClan.com Bliss Private Hive (it's in the UK), we have a dozen or so regulars - mostly from the UK/Europe but also one or two from the US/Canada, it's running Chernarus with extra vehicles and 3 helicopters, plenty of heli crash sites and good loot to be had (you still have to look for it though!) It's not non PvP by the rules, but I would say it's 80% friendly - there is still that chance that the person you meet won't be!! No password, but we will be applying a whitelist soon - which means if you're not on the the whitelist you can't join. Also running GotchaAntiHack. It's a great server, we just need a few more regulars :) Edit - It's GMT-7 -

Hello there I don't know if there are any pure DAYZ easter eggs. In arma there are lots of "gags" in many of the textures on vehicles/weapons etc. But any from DAYZ? I dont think so. rgds LoK

I fell in love with dayz as a survival game. sure there ARE zombies, but as well all know they aren't a real threat compared to players. I liked having to decide what to do with X gear and only Y space in my inventory, where every choice I made was crucial on food/weapons/ammo. I also enjoyed setting up a camp and carving out a piece of the world as our own, something to call home and defend, even a false sense of security at times !!! The problem with private servers having 100+ vehicles, dozens of choppers and even tanks is because no one enjoyed walking/running for 3 hours. Dying meant so much more when you were in a base 3+ hours from the coast. Adding too many vehicles on private servers has created this PVP deathmatch which hopefully SA can learn from. In general I view each item as a point system and having multiple tents with gear and various cars adds to my standpoint of "winning" compared to people using the debug menu and their player kill count.

The problem IMHO is that you have to spend so much time covering so much distance to find a vehicle AND all of the parts to make it run that it sort of defeats the purpose of it. You might as well just walk to wherever you were going to go with the vehicle in a fraction of the time it would have taken you to make it work. And at the end of the day, someone can just steal it when you are offline. Which is the whole reason people hoard them off the edge of the map and barely use them. Personally I find more common vehicle useage makes the game less boring. Especially at night. Couple of highlights: Driving a motorbike wearing NV goggles with the lights off. Saw a bambi running down the middle of the street with his flashlight. Beeped the horn as I zipped past and probably scared the shit out of him. Drive up to the warehouses near Kamenka. I'm searcing around for a jerry can when a survivor comes running in the door with a dozen agroed zombies behind him yelling "lets get the fuck out of here!!!". We run back to the car and get the fuck out of there. (I know the zombies were effectively trapped in the building because of the walking in building thing, but it was still funny). This afternoon, I don't know what the heck was going on, but a helicopter (am MI17 on a high vehicle server) landed in a field near the woods where I was walking. Then another (a Huey). I could see the crew get out, shining their flashlights and searchlights around as they conducted whatever operation they were performing. Then they flew away in the MI17. The Huey didn't have much fuel so I fure that's why they left it. I took off, figured out how to fly it in the air, then skidded it into the woods outside of Cherno (I survived). I felt bad for wrecking their bird, but finders keepers and I could have killed them from my observation point with my NV goggles and DMR rifle if I wanted to anyway. Vehicles mean constantly choosing between stealth and speed/carrying capacity. Everyone hears when a convoy rolls up into town. And they make the roads a lot more dangerous.
