By rule we can't be old farts is we aren't old. 18 is the cut off point for OFG tags and membership. We don't mind having younger people on the server, but they cant be a member. Im not that good at being PR so I frankly can't think of a good way to type an advertisement for our clan. So this post isn't going to be that long as Im pulling what ever I can out of my ass to make it look/read better. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here, on our forums, in a PM, or just get on the TS server and poke us for a talk. Although we are small it shouldn't be hard to get a hold of one of us for anything you may have to ask or if you need help with something. We may be a group of assholes, but it's the good kind of asshole. Edit addition- I forgot to add in that OFG is a North America based clan. We'll gladly play with anyone willing to put up with us, but non-NA people will have time zone issues with possibly a language one as well. Just had an Aussy pop in TS and meet up with us in game. Rather fun time getting to talk to the people of the world. It's just that there's little logic in being a worldwide clan with only 8 members as of typing this. Nother edit- Added our 2nd server with the ISLADUALA map. Still have the first server running for those how still use it.

ZORTServer is looking for players who enjoy the classic Day Z gameplay experience but are tired of power hungry admins, and rampant cheating. We work stridently to maintain a guarded and active community that play as survivors, heroes and bandits. Btw, in recent playings on Day Z i've noticed an increase in vehicles driving along the coastal towns of elektro and cherno. I'd like to find a vehicle spawn and fix it up and drive around. If we get a few more guys, 2 more should be easy to get, we can have some fun as a group of 4 in a car. There are areas of the map I have never explored, and I think it'll be good to check them out. Or we can do whatever u wna do neways -

Sorry for the long time to post. Come on FrankTheDuck, do not tell me you agree with this style of PVP occuring right now in dayz mod. That's totally ridiculous, I'm pretty sure Rocket didn't want this game like it is right now. I know we can play how ever we want to, that's why it is game: you move it, you play it on your way. But I think something must get changed, most of the guys are killing on sight, doesn't matter how or why. I'm not saying DayZ should be PvE, actually this is also ridiculous, I'm saying the PvP is too focused now, and it should get REDUCED. As I said, I reaaaaally enjoy killing survivors, actually I do it on sight when I am REALLY bored, but that's because I got nothing else to do, when I have no more objective: survive? I'm pretty sure everyone can do it super-easily, if you want to. Get ArmA2, add some zombies, add some vehicles and obstacles/exploded vehicles everywhere, and leave the player to get their own gear by looting inside buildings. That's what DayZ is nowdays in my opnion. -

Suggestions for the DayZ standalone - thinking outside of the limitations of an Arma 2 mod.

hi 1)i like your idea with bases but it could be only in some places maby 200-300 some buildings too first kill all infected place somthing (campfire,flag,tent,...) only then you can make building your base thigs you can use: barbed wire, bag of cement, scarp metal, bricks, wood (planks,wooden beam) tools: shovel, pickaxe, hammer, axe, concrete mixer vehicles: excavator/digger, bulldozer chance time to time large horde of zombies around base if you log out in different server you cant log in middle of base only somewhere elsewhere makeing buildings like sotorage, hospital, workshop, garage, kitchen, distillery (morale boost :D ), blacksmith, .... 2)zombies dumb/stupid, blind, deaf, fat/very fat new weapon against zombie steel bolt with piece of raw meat you will shoot it at zombie so other will atack him -
So I was playing last night, and just outside of Polana I found 2 heli crash sites right next to each other! Just as I went to pick up a fal, I lost connection. No problem I thought, I'll just re-log. However when I checked my recent servers all of them were offline (10,000 ping, red bar, no players etc). I waited around for a while to see if it came back online, but it never did. All my tents gone, vehicles, and 2 heli crash sites! Then today I was trying to meet up with a friend, All of my regular servers were still offline, and the servers I could find were not available for her, and servers she could get on, I couldn't find at my end. I'm in the UK and she's in the Netherlands, but I wouldn't have thought that would be an issue. Is anyone else having similar issues?

The admins are just shit, you've seen first hand, hell look at Luna almost making you leave the server because of the admins giving him power... Burro and Drake moan and moan about people coming to them for things regarding the server, well its your fucking job guys, don't like it, don't be admins, we don't need lectures about how busy your lives are and how your only volunteers. Your the only guys that can make the changes, so people will come to you. Such drama queens with it (my banning being prime example). Don't have a suggestions section on your forum, if your just going to veto any suggestions the community wants because your too fucking lazy. Not surprised the server has gone down though, seeing how they've treated loyal players, i am surprised it took this long to happen. I'm sure people will miss playing on a server with 2 people online where there hasn't been a restart for 3 days because the admins couldn't be bothered, where all the best vehicles are hidden in camps miles away from any actual active players, and where combat logging is allowed so freely. -

This is what I want to do: Create a "secret society" that's main priority is to infiltrate and destroy other groups. Here are the key main things that would be taking place: 1. Initial group is small. Minimum of 4 people. 2. Partake all the way from killing members of infiltrated clan to orchestrating a server wide grand theft auto. 3. No one would ever operate under their real username. What the group would do is get inside group A, and hurt it in the best way possible. To be within it for a few weeks all the way to a few months (if the operation is big enough) and to take it down. I'm not asking to recruit you. I'm asking if anyone is interested in this idea. Before we could actually do this, we need people. If we had 4 people, we would be able to take part in a massive clan catastrophe, where multiple vehicles and clan members would die. We would be detested and remembered from that clan forever. And I'm ok with that. Reply back if interested. -

why not play in the armex with ur bum buddy? 200/30 = 6.6 almost 7 cars per player sounds like it will be a real challenge to get one.... max vehicles is how many the server owner thinks he can handle -

Hey all! I'd like to advertise a server for a community I've been working with. Our server includes a white-listing system based on our forum (requires GUID input), Zombies/loot that spawns while you are inside a vehicle, a custom 20/4 day/night schedule, and coming within this week build-able fortifications including buildings like huts, shacks, and small sand bunkers. Our server has been around since june, and was one of the first private HIVE systems that was not for nocdkey players. Our server is from a top rated dedicated provider on the east coast, and provides an incredibly smooth performance for our player base. Pings for west coast users average in the 70-100ms range. Our servers are under our full control, and thus have been optimized thoroughly, and saves the database every 10 minutes to ensure users precious time is not wasted during a hacking attack. Broken/OOB vehicles are respawned every week, and we do not clean tents unless there is banned content inside them. To join, simply register on our forums (http://rinaun.com/forums/) and supply your guid via the profile field during registration. this field will NOT be shared/viewed by anyone, and it is accessible via only your profile. Rinaun's Hideout decided to stick to a serious whitelisting system to make sure our users aren't wasting their time on our servers. User who hack will be reported straight to battleye with logs. As one of the first private servers out in june/july, don't expect to see us vanish! Silly donation rewards like BMRF, or abusive admins like on CA/BMRF who ban players for winning don't exist here. No money goes to staff, all money goes strictly to server costs. It's a community, not someones cash project. Please note that some of these posts are from july. We have a long track record of providing a amazing server with admin coverage and other gaming servers. We do host events every month. This months event is a 40 man bike race. No vehicles spawning on server

I'm struggling to believe that every single vehicle, including bicycles have been hidden or blown up by a player. Searching through the logs has brought up no instance of any vehicles that I can see on the server. -

173.192.200.74 Port 2532 Feel free to try US 1187. Fresh server start as of two weeks ago. Custom towns, lots of vehicles, active admins to keep the script kiddies at bay. We arent whitelisted, but have a decent playerbase. Also, we are hosted on the East coast. -

Try our HIVE system. We're adding some more features soon, including player-spawnable buildings and fortifications. Other perks include buildings/vehicles spawned in tasteful manners, and zombies/loot spawning while you are driving and flying to increase immersion. Our server is based in Philly I believe, and http://rinaun.com is our website :) there's a bunch of other stuff I'm missing including a custom day-night schedule (20 hours day/4 hours night). there is also only a small handful of administrators, all of which have no actual database access. The save option was removed from tents and vehicles. It now saves automatically. I think it's supposed to prevent duping more or less. Or at least make it harder.

Well, since US1024 didn't work out for our group (http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/108564-corrupt-admins-on-us-1024-private-hive-whitelisted-ufp-dayz-unofficial-fan-page-server/) we have a group currently looking for a scripter free home. We'll have as many as 6 on during the weekend, and normally 1-3 on during the week. We're open to different maps, maybe prefer Chernarus as long as vehicles aren't super rare. No more then two choppers at once. Most of all, we're looking for a server with admins that play by the rules. -
I don't think you have to save tents or vehicles anymore. Mine are still there after a couple of days and the new menus have different options on them, like fix left front wheel - so the save option not being there is deliberate, I suspect. I have problems with tents but they have always been inexplicable. I have one tent that I cannot access at all. I put another next to it some 10 metres away and it works perfectly. I'm sorry I haven't more specific and useful advice.

If you like the military aspect of the game then you're in luck because Arma2 has a ton of mods and scenarios available. Go over to armaholics site and search through the mod section. Many DayZ players get upset because others come along and they've turned this zombie survival horror mod in to nothing more than their own personal CoD. Players who enjoy the pvp, you guys are only hurting yourselves by only playing DayZ. They are so many other mods set up for exactly what you're looking for. One of the more popular apocalyptic pvp mods right now is called Wasteland. It's set in Chernarus. There's 3 factions; optfor, blufor, and civilians. There's base building, a vast amount of different military weapons, and a bunch of vehicles, and there's even side missions. Playing is easy as you do nothing more than start up A2OA and join a Wasteland server. Jump on YouTube and check out some of the videos. It may be just what you're looking for.

Glad to see some of the guys got some practice "Flying" Vehicles at the Ski Jump! Haaaa That was funny as hell and need to to it again sometime with more people and see who can jump the most vehicles at one time!!!
