Update Jan 13th 2013: Whitelisting - we are moving to a whitelisted platform to offer much improved gameplay. Hackers ruin this game for everyone, we don't want that to ruin your game play on our server. Step #1. Go To http://survivorclandayz.enjin.com (or Click Here to go straight to registration) (we do not contact you for anything other than our whitelist confirmation - that's it.) Step #2. Click "Recruitment" on our website menu and fill out the quick application. Step #3. You'll be approved ultra fast and will get the access details for the server immediately. We've re-launched our DayZ private hive server on our custom Chernarus map and want new longer term players. Bandits/Medics/Survivors/Heros you're all welcome. Some server features: PVP Allowed and Encouraged. rMod equipped for a cooler experience and vehicles. (you must install the rMod mod) 40+ Custom Bases scattered all over map (in remote/strategic locations). Cleared Roads of junk so driving is now more fun. The server restarted and it all my vehicles were back. Although some random gear was missing from them, I'm grateful they didn't completely vanish. Thanks for some answers. -

You see them in the distance. They always flee into the trees as you approach. You get a fleeting glance of them through windows, but you can never find them. You hear their little zed noises in your travels. You never manage to spot where they're coming from. You do get in close proximity to them (indoors for example), but they run too fast to hit. (The game might have to cheat a bit here). well that really is disturbing, and defenitely a decent way of dealing with it, but it could be annoying after a while, except if it is used as a warning signal for the player. lets say the child only appears rarely, and when it appears that means that there could spawn more zombies around him and bad things will happen. imagine how seeing the children is viewed as a bad sign, and people who know you saw them will stay away from you.... while my opinion is defenitely disputable for being very unrealistic and reaching in a meta-ghosly gimmick, it defenitely can be the HORROR hearing child voices, and seeing them on the windows and knowing that shit is going to get real... and not telling your friends about it because they will not want to risk their lives... abandoning "childrenseers" could become common, and also a way to do something challenging even if you got super gear and vehicles. i must say that if children are included in any way, they must be freakin scary and dangerous. noone likes pesky annoying little dwarfs running around, i am sure most people would be more than happy to place a bullet in their head if they behave retardedly. Edit: and freaking bind the chanche of seeing children to humanity! i think this could be a great way to represent the sanity of a player who killed alot of people... he starts seeing creepy shit, which might have negative consequences for him... like karma... and maby a higher chanche for positive events for good guys... -

3rd Person, Side Chat, Custom Loadout, Nameplates and Crosshairs. 24/7 Daylight, Friendly admins, Lots of vehicle spawns and 7+ Heli's. Just bought the server today and need people to play, regular players will be rewarded :) Invite ya friends to play with you and add to Favorites!!!! 1) melee ability, it's a f****** Russian in a zombie appocalypse and he doesn't know how to fist fight 2) ability to knock out players by using the back of the gun or anything (the reason for this in idea 3) 3) ability to loot unconscious players 4) has been suggested 358282495 times but, more vehicles 5) in the standalone some houses should have garages which you can find a vehicle in. 6) attachment's for guns eg. Silencer, laser, different scopes etc.... 7) more novelty moves like saluting and sitting down because why not maybe some signals with hands?? Well thats about all I can think off at the moment Oh I forgot more animals and those animals can get infected!

If you're looking for a server where you do actually have to survive then come and check us out, you don't get any benefits and start the with the default gear. The only changes we have made are adding vehicles and custom wrecks into the server, we also have a day/night cycle on the server. http://dayzmod.com/f...om-crash-sites/ Also got a very simple whitelist method: http://dayz.frak.eu/whitelist/ We are looking for players that like a nice vanilla DayZ experience, but there doesn't seem to be that many players who actually want that though.

How about adding tanks? They would incredibly slow and rare. How about 18 wheelers? They would carry multiple players and supplies. Shoot the gas tank underneath though and it will blow up.

also the 24h daytime is spreading a lot..all pussies kindergardens...nothing best than default settings i must say that i love modded buildings and more vehicles randomly damaged...

Yeah, I got on for the first time in a while last night and literally couldn't find a private hive server that didn't require whitelisting, had more than 10 players and default settings. xD Everywhere seems to have 'starter gear' i.e. pretty much all gear or 9,001 vehicles. Really need to get whitelisted on a decent private hive, lol. Althought saying that, didn't see any signs of foul play on the main hive all night so things must have improved. :)

I have a question... will we be able to actually jump in SA? Have you guys have information on jumping on Arma III as well? I've watched the video where they show animations but no jump to be seen. How can you simulate irl army scenarios without being able to jump? I agree that this is not something of large importance, but to me is just sad that our characters are "glued" to the ground. I've never been to the army, and never carried loads of weapons on my back, but I agree that if you have a full backpack you may not be able to lift both feet of the ground due to the weight you're carrying. But what about the naked character? He should be able to jump! To me, in gaming, jump means a great deal of freedom. I can climb on rocks, or vehicles, on lying players. Another doubt is, will we be able to move objects, even if by bumping into them? Those screenshots with lots of chairs makes me think that it would be sad if they are "glued" to the ground (like in the mod). I know that it can be too hard to manage all the dynamic entities on a server, but Minecraft does this well, and they already said to be using minecraft as reference on the server/client architecture. Edit: And being able to move the chairs could lead to cool scenarios where some guys are trapped inside the restaurant, being shot by bandits, and they barricade the doors with tables and chairs and flower pots (according to the screenshots). -

:) More than likely the vehicles put on the map using Map Editor, once a player enters the vehicle it explodes. When we first customized our map we did this on mistake and took them off because players complained about this, it's a fun thing but people don't tend to like it on an insta death. I will try out your Server here in a bit :) I also run a customized map such as yours :) -
Looking for Private Whitelist West Coast Server

After a great deal of effort to play the game by design I'm just sick of the hackers but this game is just too good to stop playing. I've been looking in the private hive forum but gah there are so many servers of various kinds etc. I'm looking for a good whitelist west coast server. I've never used the whitelist before but I'm willing to give it a shot. I would prefer a vanilla server _without_ extra buildings and vehicles for performance reasons etc. However I find the idea of starting with an axe or pistol appealing. If anyone knows a good west coast server like this with active admins that DONT CHEAT and a link I can use to apply for Whitelist then you will have two new legit players. Again if the server is good I would even be willing to donate to keep it running as it would be cheaper than renting one myself. -
you speak as though you have accomplished something.. The items you mentioned are easily obtained if you play on any high population server. On average I go through multiple lives a week with similar if not better items. For one your FN fal is a piece of shit.. Put a scope on that puppy and it would be a great gun, otherwise the iron sights and loud pew pew's make it not worth using any more situations, atleast until you have found an M16 or m4 variant. Bizon is incredibly common and packs about 800 dmg a shot... My markov is just as powerful and can be as deadly if used correctly. Go take your m107 to a city and take out as many new spawns as you can before someone whacks you off. Then start the cycle all over again. as a Bandit I find myself constantly hording guns//ammo/vehicles that my group and I have taken from survivors. The gear you have now can be saved for a raining day at a camp, or can be used as a fertilizer along with your body. I've tried to make a habbit of stashing my gears at my camp before I log off for the night and then killing myself. I find it takes no less then an hour or two to get a kick ass load out.

manual spawned vehicles are fine, it's the ones that have spawn points, and I would rather not wipe the entire database... again.... -

quick and dirty details on adding new vehicles via the database Database Tables: There are three tables involved with spawning vehicles:Vehicle - this table contains a distinct list of all vehicle classnames that can be spawned along with values determining the min/max damage and fuel, and the limit to how many can be spawned in one world at a time. Additionally, this table specifies the Parts for the vehicle (things that can be broken/repaired) and the starting inventory World_Vehicle - this table specifies a vehicle record (via vehicle.id) to be placed at the given location in the given world, and the Chance that it will be spawned Instance_vehicle - actual vehicle in your game world, generated using the information from the previous two tables. usually created via the db_spawn_vehicles.pl script Adding new vehicles: To add a new vehicle spawn:Does the vehicle classname you want exist in the vehicle table? If Yes, note the vehicle.id. if No, add it. Get the worldspace value for Where you want the vehicle to spawn (I won't cover this, but the arma2 mission editor is a good way to get said values) Add a world_vehicle record with the world.id, vehicle.id and worldspace values generate vehicles (manually run db_spawn_vehicles.pl or click your host provided button) You should now have a vehicle at your specified location. Repeat as needed.Changing how many vehicles actually spawn: Notice in world_space the Chance column? if you want all vehicles to always spawn, simply change that to 1. If you want your vehicles to spawn with more/less damage or fuel, change the vehicle table fuel and damage min/max values appropriately. If you want to reset all vehicles back to their spawn points, just clear the instance_vehicle table and re-generate.That's all you should need. Anything else, just ask.
