As the title says 3minutes of Heli battels all over Chernarus. We took down about 10 Hueys in about 40min. after the server restartet. The server has a "bit ridiculous" amounts of helis and vehicles you can find it if you type in "600+ vehicles 30+" and you will find it, most of the time all 50 slots are taken and it pretty much only is a pvp server with 20-30 guns at chopper crashes the server is fast and you will get high fps if you pc can take it.

Have had some activity going on and off the past 24hours, Looks like it could go somewhere if people would stay around! Suggestions of things to update please comment below and i will have a look. No major updates (More: Helicopter crashes.) Few more Vehicles spawns aswell! (Also making sure there aren't too many vehicles! The server is as anyone wants it, can consider making it a all day cycle if thats what people are looking for aswell.

Hey guys, just wanting some outside opinions on this. I've looked up on the wiki the locations of various vehicles, and gone to A LOT of them, but never had any luck. Is there any knack to it? If anyone knows the spawning probabilities that would be appreciated too :) Also, would anyone consider joining up with me for a while, with the eventual goal of actually getting some wheels? I've only ever met hostile people, and have yet to be in a group - forever alone :L I'm UK based, and have a mic of course :) I'm quite experienced, well equipped, and have enough cooked meat for 3 guys xD Now I think I'll just sit back and watch this thread get shot down, but hey, hopfeully something will come of it eh? hi everyone, i'm not a new player, but figured out that this post best fits into this thread section. so, i'm a experienced player looking for a stable home server for setting up camp and stuff. looking for a stable population, some pvp, but not all the time (maybe people ask first, shoot bullets after ? :D , also random teaming up would be a nice change of pace ), map maybe cherno or celle (love the map, hate the loot bugs right know), starting stuff could be minimal, custom building would be nice, not too many vehicles, and some base-building functions maybe? (at least, give me an entrenching tool and some sandbags, goddamit :rolleyes: ) i know, its a big wishlist, but i've played on so much servers, build up camps, just to see them going down. with me, there are 3 more regular players searching for a new base. we're located in austria, so any european server would be nice. many thx in advance

I'm new to the forums, but I signed up because, 1- I am a big fan of the mod and 2- I had something I needed to vent. So after about 2 months of abstaining from playing DayZ, I decided to hit up the same server I saw PsiSyndicate playing on. Normally, it takes me a while to work my way up, but this time, I got lucky. Spawned near the northen airfield, met a friendly guy called "Kickass" and after making our ways up to the airfield, I find a CZ550 and he finds a pump action shotgun. By this time, I know I have gained his full trust, because it is a well known prinicple, if one player has a better weapon than the other, they will kill for it. After looting the airfield, I notice a gycrocopter, and we agree to fix it. Another guy joins us, he helps repair the helicopter, but shortly looses connection. Me and Kickass take off, with me as the pilot, proud of our accomplishments. We set off for a fuel station. After about 15 minutes, we decided to land in Sabina on a industrial building for fuel. Kickass gets out, while I guard the chopper. He calls "I found 2 large jerry cans and 3 normal ones" I hear footsteps but I presume they belong to my new found friend. Seconds later, a hero appears (called Min) from the top of a ladder calling friendly. I point my gun at him with apprehension and tell him to drop his Makarov pistol. He obides and helps Kickass with refuelling the helicopter. We take off, and set about finding other vehicles and better loot to prepare ourselves for Salvation City. After landing at various industrial sites, we find enough materials to fully repair and refuel another chopper. I can't remember the name of the city, but it has a huge football stadium in the middle of it. Inside it, was a Huey. Confident the stadium could only be accessed from the air, me and Kickass disembarked, turning the engine off, when Min announced "i'm going afk for 7-10 minutes guys, dont kill me pls :P" Me and Kickass approved, and set about fixing the helicopter. Half way through attaching a Main Rotor Assembly, AK-74 rounds crack past my and Kickass's heads. A barrage of bullets rain down on Kickass who later died, once I indentified the firing position, I made a ran for it. The idiot gunman was stupidly still in tunnel vision, shooting Kickass's corpse. I start up the gyrocopter, yawing left as I gained rotor pitch. With just me and Min alone in the chopper, I was at 50% blood, bleeding out. I panic, and seek refuge to land at a nearby open football pitch. But just my luck, an M14 AIM rifle opens up and lights me up like a Christmas tree, damaging my engine and instrument avionics. I see no 'player-free' zones apart from a nearby volcano. I raise collective and land the helicopter at a 45 degrees face. Min gets out almost in sync with me, as I turn away to bandage, I scream over direct chat, fear in my voice, "We just got shot up badly in the football stadium man!! I need blood bagging!!!" I turn to him, he turns to me, says nothing. Then out of nowhere, he fires a single slug round at my torso with brutality and a cold sadistic nature. I pass into an unconscious state, where he finishes me off, I catch a last glimpse of him jumping in the helicopter. And here I am. Left for dead. CallMehTOMMEH was killed by Min by weapon: M1014 Remington, range: 3 metres. I found this intriguing. Because as Dean "Rocket" Hall said, DayZ had always been intended as a experiment for humanity. Where player interaction and choices impacted on a large heirachy of people. People work in unsual ways. Of course, DayZ is nothing like what is used to be, with PvP style bandits occupying most of the player base, there used to be genuine interactions, sympathies, cold-blooded kills, acts of compassion, acts of brutality. I find it disheartening to think how humanity would reclaim itself in the midst of a Zombie Apocalypse with greed being the most dominating force amongst humans. Personally, I really am fascinated by this, and after not playing DayZ for such a long period of time, it was a real wake-up call to experience something like this. Shit happens. I know, but I really believe DayZ has done a fantastic job of demonstrating what kind of mentality people poesses, even in the real world. Greed? Companionship? Hatred? Trigger-happy? Sympathy? Do you think DayZ standalone will offer this kind of player interaction? Something of which I wanted to bring up on, is the topic of texts within Standalone. Something which I could see people benefitting is the topic of text articles which players can grab and read, the purpose of which will teach those unfamiliar in a mechanic and give interesting tips, hints and perhaps guides and instructions on how something works. Some areas which I believe would benefit in Standalone: Medical Books - Medical texts which can describe elements of first aid and medical practices in addition to knowledge and information. Basic First Aid leaflets which could give players valuable hints in how to stop bleeding, how to ease pain and ways of decreasing the chance of further injury Intermediate Medical books or Magazines which can describe what items do and what items to look out for in addition to providing information on symptons for sicknesses and diseases in addition to what cures it. Advanced Medical texts which instructions for the player on life saving operations and medical practices (such as effective use of a Blood Transfusion) Mechanics and Engineering - Information and knowledge into the repairing and mainteniance of vehicles, possibly even informing players of the world around them such as parts needed and what requirements are needed. Instruction manuals for vehicles and other machinery which can be found to give information on it's correct use. (Like the starting procedure for a diseal powered generator) Engineering magazines which give players valuable hints in keeping a vehicle in its best possible condition Books and magazines which give helpful ideas and instructions on how to modify vehicles Guide Books - Information on specific topics such as flying a helicopter or plane, driving a car, or even telling how to operate a piece of equipment. Books which provide instruction or guides to a specific action. Examples include safe driving of a car, boat, plane or helicopter giving instructions on correct operation. Firearm Books, Manuals and Magazines - Information on various firearm practicies from general, to mainteniance and repair to styles of shooting. Manuals for firearms teaching the player the best ways to repair and clean firearms for best use. Shooting magazines which give tips for someone using firearms, explaining the best way to use them Firearm lists or perhaps even guides telling what firearms are more likely to be found in an Eastern European setting Survival - Guides and Books, explaining the fundamentals of Surviving in Nature Handy pocket books which provide brief explanations on survival, such as giving simple tips to survive Larger sized books which provide in-detail information on plants, animals and survival practicies such as woodland shelters, fires and best areas to survive Military Textbooks - Books which describe tactics and stratergies on how to deal with oppenants in combat. Field Manuals given by soldiers giving some brief combat tips to survival in a combat situation Military textbooks which describe military manuevers and tactics in detail Health & Fitness - Books which describe the best way to keep yourself fit and healthy. Magazines which provide helpful tips to giving the best out of the players body Books which provide health instructions on how to keep the players body clean, disease free and healthy Food - Recipe books and magazines which give valued insight on how to properly prepare and perhaps even improve food. Magazines and Books which provide food recipes a player can create by finding specific food items and combining them at a campfire or stove. Could lead to unique bonuses by crafting unique food items. Travel - Maps, Tourist guide leaflets and historical books which teach the player of areas to go to or perhaps look out for. Maps of different quality and age, older maps could just have main roads and not list backroads, newer maps could hold backroads, paths and survey maps could go into explicit detail on the surronding environment. Tourist guide leaflets, hikers pamplets and information sheets which could provide areas to explore and visit Construction - Books teaching the fundamentals of crafting and construction. Instruction manuals on specific crafting recipes for players designing a specific item or entity Handy leaflets created during the Outbreak to craft simple but effective weapons/items Books on effective modification of vehicles, buildings or personal protection Poetry - Some literature to keep a players mind focused or at ease. Some various forms of poetry books, could even be apart of a community challenge. Create unique poetry texts for Books in DayZ Standalone. Fictional Stories - Fictional stories and books which can provide a source of entertainment in the Zombie Apocalypse Same as above, could be a community challenge to create fictional stories for the mod. Some mild entertainment during the Zombie apocalypse and adding a huge level of flavour to the game. Backstory Texts - Newspapers, books and document texts describing the backstory and what actually happened before the player arrived. Newspapers which could describe the onslaught of what happened on Chernarus before and during the Zombie Apocalypse Books, which are rare and only a few published, which describe accounts of Survivors during the outbreak and documention on the Zombie Virus Qaurantine leaflets and handouts explaining the operation of the Qaurantine, perhaps even tips (though obivious ones) to avoid infection Super rare scientific/military documents which explain what the virus is, what it does and how it got released

ok hi The red gun icon that flashes is to indicate that you are in combat and meant to stop you from combat logging, don't bother carrying toilet paper and razors they have no use yet, last i heard tents were broken, so i am not sure about it, storage vehicles are semi reliable because there is always the risk of the server not putting them back in, i think that is normal heat now it is when it get in to the blue you want to worry, yes the thermal scoped weapons are completely removed from DayZ i think, you have to now boil water in a tin can before drinking it or you can get the infection, anti-biotics now have a higher chance of spawning, the little bird choppa can now hold 8 people, ok this should be all, outlaw1198

The main summary of the events taken place is: I find clan camp I use vehicles to get gear, get shot at, leave vehicle to bandits I get accused of stealing, tele-hacking, and being a bandit I find the clan camp near my old camp, loot and leave, get accused again I come back after some time to find a tent, find camp again, slightly new location, kill clan member I loot his body, get kicked I come back later that night, take the tent I find and some ammo, place in UAZ jeep and drive off to make a new base (been trying since Feb) I come back online next morning, clan members accuse me of hacking and insulting me, then proceed to kick and ban, almost 3 or 4 mins after placing all my gear in my tent for safe keeping So I want to ask, formally, for the members of WOLF to uplift the ban, let me retrieve at the very least my gear I had earned up to last night, and switch servers. I don't care to play on a server with clan hosts who are going to ban/kick anyone who can kill them. If WOLF wants to revoke that request, then at least post or send me the proof via email or PM, because I can assure that I have no adulterated game files, no hacks, no bots, no edge over anyone else in the server, unless you count gaming devices with macro keys "hacking." I'll be waiting for a response tonight... hope we can resolve this like adults, not like children who wants to exclude others from their fun...

Hi i need some help, i've been away from the game close to a year [my toon is 222 days old] and alot has changed since then. I need some hints regarding the new changes to DayZ if ok. So, the red gun icon flashes red when in combat to prevent Alt+Tab, right? Also, should i carry toilet paper and razor, are those items necessary or mearly cosmetic? Are tents reliable? i mean, completly, because a year ago it was just a useless item If so, is storage in vehicles also reliable? Why is my heat meter defaulted to red? Were thermal scoped weapons completly removed from public servers? Any other changes i should know about? Thx alot!

Hate to say it but unless the zombie outbreak started in Chernarus then there would be no way they would sending military personel there. If it was a world wide issue they would try to lock down major cities and other high value locations. I don't think they would be sending the military to go help out small cities or even to degree certain countries. It would be mass pandemonium and everyone would be trying to help themselves. Why the hell would the any country be sending troops to a considerably small and lacking group of cities in Eastern Europe? There is doesn't seem to be anything in terms of an advantage of holding Chernarus. Sorry I rambled bad...sometimes the booze makes me do what it wants. Basically I don't feel that too many military vehicles and weapons would be present in Chernarus unless they explain through a back story of some sorts that it is where or near where the outbreak started. I mean honestly they don't even have an airport in Chernarus...just a few sets of runways with some hangers the military made? So how important is this place on a scale of an apocalypse?

As i was talkjng to you this morning. your bypass i cannot prove. But every guest in that server at that moment while i was talking to is known to wolf. not all wolf members wear there tags just because of hackers (which is sad to have to do). End of story. Funny thing while i was talking to you, i was laying down at our camp when all 4 of our vehicles blew up nearly killing me) so plead your case. but its not going to change. just like your post in reedit where the admins deleted your 1st post. so please go away.

Well to whoever told you the current mod isn't any good - i don't agree. There are so many varieties of the mod atm you should be able to find whatever playstyle you want - loads of vehicles, heavy PvP, starter gear...vanilla even! If you were about to get Arma2: CO then go for it. Download DayZ Commander or Play With Six and you can jump on the many maps available. And remember Arma 2 is a pretty good game (with other mods as well) in its own right.

Just search for a server with 300 to 500 vehicles you should have no problem, some servers have up to a 1000 vehicles with removable parts

Ooooo Oooooooh, so the weapons and equipment that DayZ has right now is not satisfying you, is it? This is the list of weapons I will need to put these infected, undead, half-walking/running, vomiting, miturating, contagious zombies to death: .357 Magnum 9x19mm MP5K-PDW (I wish they would add this) .50 BMG Barrett XM500 I hope there is more military stuff in this game than the movie STRIPES. I prefer camoflauge to civilian clothing and I prefer an armed Huey to a Bell chopper. I am positive the vehicles would need as much camo as possible as I use them to set traps in the forests for unwanted tresspassers. I would play this game much more if all the people (plus gamer Nazis) at the XtremeGaming Cafe on Babcock in San Antonio weren't so annoying, asking me questions about how the supermodels coming out next year are somehow connected to a "conspiracy theory" involving video games and suicide. Too much marijuana and violent video games, if you ask me. Another reason for some to hide in camoflauge. Especially the pretty ones. Now lets scavenge what equipment we can and pray this game does not become a reality. Who likes dealing with the Center of Disease Control and Prevention anyways?
