    [Stand Alone] No Cars in Alpha.

    Running the length of the map can get boring but I'm more than happy to wait knowing they're being overhauled to make them more fitting with the game. I'm really looking forward to see what they do with vehicles. I've never really liked them in the mod TBH. Knowing that we'll be able to customise ect means I'm more than happy to wait.

    O yea buddy. This past weekend, I spent a good 1-2 hrs from the start of play just scouting the edges of the map for tents and vehicles. Found so many :P 4 vehicles, plenty of tents. No place is hidden from a player with a mission. Also, 4 tents had AS50s and/or M107s. So I blew them up :P after taking SVD for myself.

    If you put them out of the map they despawn, and on some server vehicles in bad conditions despawn as well.

Sounds like we are the perfect fit: Makarov x2 clips, Bandage, Morphine, Flashlight Defend Devils Castle/ Military Convoys / Spawn sightings / Bountys / ViP – Player based Events. Custom Clan / Storage bases via custom editor added upon request, custom designs are welcomed 4 improvements to lootable zones, full of PvP, Military Gear and Vehicles to spice up the existing dayz experience, Vehicles spawned along the coast on a regular basis, to help our new players get a footing we have also added one crashed heli between cherno / elektro Storyline based lootpoints, NWA/NWA and Khelm Extended.   9. For me, vehicles in DayZ are more about additional content rather than a necessity to travel around. I see finding a rare vehicle, searching for parts and fixing it up as the fun part with the ability to drive around being a "bonus". With all the cool new stuff SA is supposed to bring, I don't think any temporary replacement for vehicles is needed at all. Not to mention it wouldn't make sense to waste time doing that instead of working on actual vehicles.

    They're not giving us the cars right now, because they have more important things to do at start. So, what you just suggested are vehicles in another form. Wont happen.

    Honestly, it could be many reasons. Maybe they are poorly hidden, if someone on the server has a heli then vehicles are very easy to find almost wherever you put them. Maybe the admins are up to no good, if you think this is the case then ask them about it outright (without accusing them) and see what they say.
  12. **Update- Head of Ins still admin name changed to Dat Other Guy as of now. Posts were deleted I was removed from DOC and been told by the DOC leader and second in command of TLM servers I'm getting banned from the server (hasn't happened yet) although other people were sharing the links in teamspeak and got banned. I spoke with the server owner some but has been unhelpful as I was just told to stop telling people as I'm hurting the servers no ownership that maybe in fact the idiot admin is hurting the servers. Keep in mind this guy takes lots of donations (thousands of dollars) from players that get crapped on by this guy I think people have a right to know** I hate to be the one to do this but it has to be done. I have been a long time player of the The Laughing Man's private hive servers it's no secret he has the number one private hive. He has one admin though a officer in the clan I'm in [DOC] Head of Ins. This person is the textbook bad admin I've known it from day one. He would run around and discreetly use his admin map to find tents and what not. Hard to get solid evidence but reprehensible none the less. The Laughing Man has apparently given admins now a full menu just recently complete with weapons crates, TP, ESP, god mode, invisible and more. Head of Ins started to abuse that today I discreetly frapsed the whole thing playing along. I did play along with him most of the day not taking gear myself but trying to get it all documented. Our entire clan had huey's and end game gear before long. Beyond what is seen in this video we have him using banned weapons AS50 thermal to shoot at players after he would TP to them with god mode on. Some of these player combat logged they got banned as a result. How shitty is that shoot at them with a illegal weapon after TP to them and having god mode on and then ban them for logging. Further using all of these cheats in combat with regular players. Not to mention 7 or 8 folks from the clan that he was supplying with this gear. I realize this is a private hive and it's there business but it's very popular and needs attention in case it gets deleted on their forums. Here's the youtube channel I'm still uploading stuff. Video 1 - Head of Ins Teleports me to his location where he is gearing up regular clan members like myself Video 2 - Possibly the most incriminating listen to his words. Shows crate spawning clan members gearing up him making himself invisible and then warning everyone they better keep their mouth shut. Notice at 1:30 when he says to me after I said I'm not taking anything "just take it quit being a little higher road bitch jesus christ every fucking time" that's because everytime he cheats I call him out. This blows his one time argument. This is obviously him repairing the chopper real quick. Here is a second video: This is that same chopper that he repaired using his admin menu...What happened here is that he teleported the wrong person to us while in the chopper. This resulted in a very quick and painful death for us all. But who cares when you can get a officer of your clan, who is also a admin, to TP us back to our bodies? This is exactly what he did and is shown clearly in this video. Also he is still actively trying to cover up his actions by telling everyone in the teamspeak channel to once again be quiet....

    In vanilla dayz there are very few vehicles at all most servers have the vehicle count way up there. Personally I've never had this problem I regularly do repairs with multiple people and no issue with parts not working.

    US 1154 Possible Hacker

    Alright, so I'm just going to say a couple of things here. Number 1, you no longer get kicked for crashing vehicles and or helicopters, why I say this? Well I did it yesterday. If you were to get kicked for crashing, it would be 118.. most remote execution kicks are due to the fact that somebody has not used a remote executor correctly or not used one at all when hacking. I'm a ex-hacker, I've seen people use ESP and Map icons for locating vehicles and bases on the map. Sorry sir. It it does appear that you are hacking.
  16. I am posting this thread for one simple reason, to warn folks about the abusive admins on ES123 (DayZCraft). ES123 allows users to build custom bases from scratch. In addition to this great feature it also, heavily, populates the server with additional buildings, loot spawns, vehicles and the like. A group of friends and I recently discovered the server and in no time were looting, amassing and building base elements. By our third day playing upon ES123 half our team had been kicked from ES123. This is our tale. Day one included, loot, surviving AI/players/zombies, grouping up, scouting future build locations and ultimately starting the build. Not much to say here other than we had lots of fun. Day two started much the same way, our base was progressing nicely, the team was gearing up to a respectable level and starting to mobilize to nearby locations for raids. While scouting the map we had noticed a unique base which had been built at grid location 162073. I say unique because this base was built within a castle and included a 'warehouse' inside the castle grounds. A 'warehouse' inside the castle... As if spawning buildings inside a desirable castle was not enough, they had, just about, two of everything staged within the complex system of walls. As the day drew to a close we decided to fly into the well-fortified fortress and loot as much as possible. Our raid got a bit messy, we lost more than we gained. We called it a day. Day three, we log in bright and early to find that our base had been raided as well. We built within a tree stand at 013068. Someone had either parachuted into our base, which was quite small and under a canopy of trees, built a tower bunker near a wall and climbed over and/or made their way in by some other clever means. In either event, the looters moved a truck near a place where two cargo-containers met. They then filled the truck with our loot (guns, ammo, gear and such) and then reached into the truck from the outside of our base via the very small gap between the two cargo containers... Our response, we added additional walls to our base to ensure we didn't suffer from the same fate a second time. No complaints. We just fixed our base and got back to the job of building up our loot pile. Toward the end of the day, with our base fixed and some of our loot restored, we decided to take a second shot at raiding the enemy base located at 162073. Five of us hopped into our Mi-8. Upon arrival at the enemy base we were greeted with small arms fire from the top of one of the castle towers. We returned fire via the guns mounted on the Mi-8 and took out the opponent. We landed inside the outer ring of the enemy base. The base was broken into three tiers. Inside the first ring was at least one Mi-8 and an osprey. We quickly took the Osprey back to base. We then attempted to take what ended up being a damaged Mi-8. Trouble was it was too damaged to sustain flight. Our pilot spun out of control and crashed the bird. We then flew into the 2nd tier. Inside the 2nd tier, as I previously mentioned, was a warehouse. Here it was, backed up against the castle walls. The base builders had then placed three cement barriers, on the inside of the warehouse, blocking the warehouse entrance. In front of the warehouse were dragon's teeth. One of our group attempted to vault over the teeth. In doing so he also found that he could vault through a gap between the warehouse and the cement barriers. Now on the inside of the warehouse he backed a truck up to the gap. He filled the truck with loot. We then pulled a truck up, from the outside, and ex-filled the loot through the same gap. We used the same technique which had been used on us the day before. Not a glitch. This was a case of a poorly designed base. Had the creators taken better care to place their barriers, the gap, which was more than a foot wide, would not have allowed our teammate to vault through. At this point the person who was guarding the base, which we shot upon arrival, had made his way back. We were just then in the process of lifting the truck, filled with loot, and heading back to base. He immediately says we were cheating. That we glitched into his base and that we crashed a bird into base on purpose. None of which was true. We attempted to argue the point. Moments later, three of the five in our squad were kicked. We then re-logged. Once more we were kicked. Waited a few, attempted to re-log again. This time we were allowed to stay. We attempted to make our case. The Admin would not listen. We stated what was stated here in this thread. Again, he could give a shit. Press V in Arma and you will vault. If by pressing V you're able to vault over or past a barrier then by way of the games design you've succeeded. This is not a glitch or an exploit. Had these folks been more detail oriented they would not have left such a gap in their security in the first place. The Admins at ES123 (DayZCraft) have abused their powers by adding a warehouse to a castle location which is used for their express purpose. They have abused their admin powers by kicking our team which was in the process of raiding their base. Do not waste your time on ES123 (DayZCraft).
  17. Hello Everyone, I have a Dayz Server that has finally reopened, It's new and improved too! Me and some friends used to run a server that was average but now with the help of the clan Havok Gaming we have opened a server with a custom loading screen, friendly admins, and mission files such as Auto Refuel, Debug Monitor, Custom buildings and Dogs (Still being worked on) Some Features include: 24-7 day, 200+ vehicles (vehicles on the coast as well as in towns north) Custom load out as well. The admins here are super friendly and will help out anybody who needs it! The Server ip is this: 108.168.172.162 Port:3272 I look forward to seeing some more active members on the server :D
  18. So there's this server... I'm not going to give the details, or what pseudonym I use on it, on risk of losing the nice little system I've got going on. But there's this server, right? And I'm a "Hero" on it... more or less. I do help people, I really do. And I'm proud of what I do. But obviously being a hero isn't why I'm posting in the Bandit forums. I started out pretty nice on the server, bloodbagging and bandaging and epipenning and et cetera et cetera, right? All nice and helpful or whatever. I even gave a helicopter and a bicycle away to needy players. I wind up with the kick-ass bullet proof vest + button up (that I love so damned much) and head north, almost directly from Chernogorsk. I get past (Kozlovka I think) and come across this mixed-candy group of bandits and survivors, pretty well armed. Feeling like the cocky sonfabitch I am, I took my AKM and got more-or-less behind the majority of the players. "Drop your weapons and there won't be any shooting." I shit you not: "He's a hero, it's cool. Drop your guns guys." They start putting their weapons down, other than 3 or 4 guys that are keeping zombies at bay. So I introduce myself as (pseudonym deleted) and everything is very polite, hunky-dorey whatever lovey dovey. I was... shocked at how much respect and trust my skin had garnered. I made a group of 20 players reduce themselves to being armed in only a fourth of that number! Obviously the massive slaughter that followed was very one-sided; the anti-zombites stood close enough together that they weren't hard to drop. Do to the slightly awkward nature of picking up weapons from the ground, other players were similarly easy to dispatch. So I go on my merry way, having gone from AKM to full kit in a few minutes. That's about 1/2 interactions I have on that server now; "Don't worry, I'm a hero." *BLAT BLAT BLAT* It's a lot of fun. Well... for me I guess. The whole screen was blue for about an hour from the group screaming, threatening, cursing, and et-cetera. They kill heroes on sight now. I'm constantly on the the lookout for UAZs, URALs, and other large vehicles... they'll get revenge some day.

    Freshly Spawned Kill Suggestion

    That`s when you lost me. a) there is no issue. I dont know how many hundreds of hours i have played, and the only time i can remember beiing killed as a fresh spawn was when the private hives became popular and the first ones had 500+ vehicles, i was run over by a suv instantly. But i consider such servers "fun" servers anyway. B) The devs said things like that will never happen. Never. Ever. Why discuss it? c) from all ideas of dealing with the pvp "problem" - sorry and with all due respect - this is by far the dumbest. In the standalone we will see lots of updated villages which will change the player concentrations on the map completely. Just look whats going on on the NE airfiled in Breaking Point... and i guess they will change the spawn system accordingly so you can spawn anywhere around the map or at least up to the north coast. This will help more to reduce problems with spawns than your suggestion and in a way that suits the game.
  21. Hello, Me and 2 other friends have started up a new server on the Chernarus. The server is hosted by Dayz.ST and is rock solid stable with an active admin staff. We are looking for a multitude of players to get our server up and running, as well as to provide feedback for new server additions! So far we have: -150+ Cars (added spawns, find where they are!) - 20 Air vehicles - Daylight Always On - Custom Spawns - Everything you need for starting loadout! xbow, m9sd, food, water, 16 slot bag, binocs, hatchet, knife, matches, gps, and more! finding new ways to improve gameplay for everyone! We are looking to develop and grow our server with a great community of regular players.     Slower ATV's

    After more than a month of it being broken? They should have hotfixed this asap instead of letting a core gameplay element to rot. ATV's take a little getting used to drive-wise but once you get the ropes on 'em they are awesome terrain worthy vehicles. 80 on road and 40 offroad. I have no clue why they would possibly make it go slower. Maybe to give their beloved choppers even more ease in blowing one away. They are allready giving the helo jockeys a virtual ESP by not having zombs spawn for them. Just check for zombs on the ground and lo and behold.. ppl there.

    The BattleEye kick happened when Thundar misjudged his turning radius in our Mi-17 and crashed it into the woods. I'm guessing the kick had more to do with the fact he was spawned inside a burnt chopper, but I'm not sure exactly what caused it. Definitely a placement issue, though. And we weren't "magically" attracted to our vehicles. It's simple tactics. We're based on this server, and previously had a base in that clearing near Khelm. Of course, your squad found it, raided all of our tents, as well as our vehicles. With four or five guys in our squad, it only took us maybe an hour to find out. With the amount of stuff we had, there's no way it could have gone TOO far. Thundar and Siles were sweeping the north and northeast on foot, and when I logged in, I moved up to the NEAF. That's where I found a bike at the base of the radio tower on the NE hill. Now, let me be clear. EVERYONE knows about the NE island. You weren't being clever when you hid two choppers there. It was blatantly obvious. I grabbed the littlebird, picked up my squad, and proceeded to the NE island to get our shit back. While we were there, I'm guessing it was you, or a squad member, spawned back in and opened fire on us with a DMR, killing me. My two teammates were easily able to zero in on your (or your friend's) location from all the shooting, and when they shot you, you logged immediately. No death message, but body stayed behind, thanks to the recent update. After the firefight, we loaded into the two choppers, they came down to pick me up, and when we returned to your base, you had loaded up the ground vehicles and were trying to make off with what was left. Simply put, it was PRETTY OBVIOUS you were SOMEWHERE in the NE. Naturally, we were pissed and looking for revenge, so we set out in the Mi-17 to comb the NE. We checked several areas, including the radio tower where I found the bicycle. We didn't see you until someone started shooting at us, and It was only then we noticed a guy or two on the tower. Thankfully, the Mi-17 soaks up damage, and we opted to bail out of this fight when we started taking fire. We decided to take this chance to set up base to repair and rearm. Later, we set out again towards the NE... And sure enough, after a few minutes of searching, I saw the camo UAZ booking it across a field from my left gun. We were trying to circle around to get a shot, or preferably just shoot out your tires, and that's when we stalled and went down in the woods. Thundar tried to spawn back in, and was shot as soon as he was in. I died in the crash, as you can see. Siles bled out not too long after. So, there's the play-by-play. I was serious when I said we were totally legit, and this thread just displays your butthurt on a pedestal for all to see. You stole our shit, hid it in a well known location, and we took it back. When you couldn't get it back, you called us hackers and logged out. How very Day Z of you.

    I agree with you JubeiDOK. I also think it is a subculture within a subculture. DayZ gives a player much latitude to approach and play it in many ways. Sure, a player must eat, drink and avoid danger in order to survive, but just outside the sphere of that cycle is plenty of room to do as one pleases. Also, trends have much to do with it. I think that the longest I have ever played on a 200 vehicle/M4SD starting gear server was less than a few hours, and was very early into my DayZ life. The ability to try so many helicopters, ground vehicles and weapons was great, but after a bit the game felt like a flight sim, or a racing sim or a shooting range. Some gamers just seem to want to cut out the early game stage and go directly to end game. I do not agree with that, but since the mechanics exist to allow for it, there's little to be done. Running a server is fun, but honestly, it is not as enjoyable as logging into a server blind and unable to know what to expect either from the player community there, or the admins, or many other factors. I think the experience should be as difficult and horror movie like as possible, yet that does not really suit everyone evidently which is no surprise. Were the game to more directly enforce a greater challenge which could not be altered by scripting, but still provide open world freedom, then I imagine some or many would complain and then leave it. Overall, the game is what you make it for yourself and that is largely determined by which server you find a DayZ home on.
