I would like you to play "Que sera, sera" in Cherno. Maybe you could also sing the lyrics while playing guitar, that would be so awesome.

Who's playing guitar in Cherno???

Well, Rocket just needs to add a guitar so we can sit around our campfires and chill like that to some soulful tunes. :) -
Who's playing guitar in Cherno???
S1ippery Jim replied to Siney's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I once lit a campfire and an option popped up to play guitar...never saw it before or since, but once I clicked play it didn't stop until I DC'd...F'ing annoying -
Haha thanks to all the guys who want to try guard duty. I'm sure we could work something out, although I need to practice some tunes to play. I'll PM you guys when I'm ready. I'm might just pick a random server and test it out, make sure the mic and everything is working. My first thought was to relearn the stalker guitar tunes. I also know some classical guitar pieces. Those seem like a good place to start. I'm also still taking requests. It can be any style, I can play jazz, blues, rock, classical, whatever you might want on acoustic

Please use your field recorder. Oh please god, use your field recorder. If you want I will personally guard your ass for a day or two. (Unfortunately, that won't be for two weeks, going on vacation, but if you're still up to this when I get back...) I would kill just to have some nice acoustic guitar playing in the background while I enjoy my DayZ-downtime. Maybe it's my love for STALKER just coming out, but there's just something beautiful about sitting around a campfire with those copper strings playing sweet melodies.

Epic encounter, indeed! I laughed myself to tears. RIP screaming guitar guy
-
Was my first video I stuck on youtube because we had quite the encounter. Was just recording one of our first lootings of the Balota area and we found the most.....interesting survivor! (I thought he was dead) I hope you like guitar.....survivor style! Hope you enjoy hearing him as much as we did seeing him! Don't criticize too harshly I know its not really edited much! *I am aware we were on group chat, but we were conversing with people in a different town later so on that server I guess it was working?

Right, my guitar sold so I'm buying the i5 2500k but when I searched on eBay for the nvidia gtx 550 theres like a thousand different ones. Made by Asus, pny, exga and they all look different on the exterior (fans, colours) but specs are the same. Can anyone shed some light on the differences or compatibility? Thanks

That's great when people make a personality for themselves through direct chat. In the Gallery subforum someone posted a video of a guy with broken legs who was screaming his head off in an airfield. When approached, he'd call out to others for help and intermittently jam out on his guitar. I hope I run into one of these characters at some point.

LOL, looks like he 203'd you after just spawning - and very far away from the coast, no less. Is the grenade launcher even in the game? I'm fairly certain it's not. At any rate, yeah, I'm interested in joining. Problem is, my play time is severely limited - I work 5 days a week (sometimes 6), at least 8 hours a day, some times 10, up to 12.. Basically I have about 3 free hours a weekday (generally 2 to 5), and my weekends are either spent on the computer or out with friends. I've got a week's break coming up week after next, but otherwise, that incredibly demanding schedule is rock solid. Protip: if you just got out of high school, GO TO COLLEGE. Or ENLIST. DO NOT WORK IN A FACTORY. The money is fantastic, but your entire life will be work. You'll work twelve hours, you'll come home, sleep seven, dream about work while you sleep, wake up, GO RIGHT BACK TO WORK. It is AWFUL. ... I'm buying a new guitar, though! Wee!

This video is not done by me, just came across it in the tubes. I must say the broken legged player is one of the most interesting player I ever seen in dayz. I don't know if he is taking this game too seriously or what since he could have just clicked respawn. And btw he does seem to have some guitar skills too. The encounter starts at 1:17

Liberation! (Mechanic of reclaiming towns for Survivors)
Dreganius (DayZ) replied to Dreganius (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Thank you, strawberry. I just had a little image in my mind just now of how it might pan out. A few players are seated around a campfire in the centre of a liberated town, sharing their stories of thrilling DayZ moments as they just take a few minutes to relax and get to know some other players they might be teaming up with when they leave. Another player micspams a guitar song from S.T.A.L.K.E.R (Couldn't resist :D) before getting told to "stfu" by the others. Or, alternatively, the players listen to the music as it adds to the atmosphere. Another player barters with a trader player, who has a decent supply of ammunition and weapons, along with a pair of armed guards to stop any robberies. The group of players in the liberated town are still always wary, as any of the other players might pull a gun, but for the most part it's peaceful as no-one really wants to start a shoot-out and lose all their gear. -
Guitar on the back, add a sombrero and you've got yourself a mexican
-
I know they wont be added, I was providing examples of places where the guitar would fit best. I still think its a good idea without safe areas.
-
Call me a carebear or what have you, because I'm sure you will anyway, but, "NekoSteamBoy" I am totally on your side with this one. I've wanted "safe areas" for a while, and having a guitar for everyone to kinda just gather around and listen to while they take a breather or maybe go AFK for a few mins would be really nice. Honestly, in STALKER, I found myself sitting through 2 day cycles of in-game days just sitting around with those guys, listening to the music. So honestly, it would be nice to have some music that players can produce while everyone is just trying to settle down. I'll accept my immature "CAREBEAR!" comments now from you kids! :)

Around 10pm California time I died on LA8 and when I began to reload into the game I was halted by something. I noticed that my character died while my screen was still in the black loading character and there was a guy spamming chat with guitar music named Logan as well as people spaming the group channel with different messages. I don't know if it was a hacker or just spam/chat spam or a server issue but it seemed a little fishy the game refuses to load on that server now which is very dissapointing as i have played on that server all day long without issue. Pleae resolve great server otherwise.

Nice idea... in the middle of all chaos, some entertainment, but honestly, who, in the middle of a zombie apocalipse would care with anything other than get it's ass safe?? Money? Cars? Girls? Maybe girls, but, it would be awful to be enjoying your guitar and suddenly get a bullet in the head!

A person, named USSRsniper, created an acoustic guitar for ArmA2 a couple of years ago. He has it released on the BI forums and ArmAholics. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?85497-Acoustic-Guitar-v-1-00-released

I can just see it now...a sniper on the hill watching a group of survivors as they sit down. He waits patiently as one of them pulls out a guitar... "Oh he better not..." The guitarist begins to play the first few notes to a rick roll, the sniper switches to his M16 203 and nades the lot of em.

Well in 2 days I'v managed to gather £250 by selling stuff and debt collecting lol I am yet to sell my guitar which will go for £300-£500 so my budget is looking promising. I'v decided to go the whole hog as I used to be big into pc gaming but as my tower got outdated I just gave up trying to keep up with new gen games.

I am glad to see that you have changed your mind, just to react to some of the comments here: He wants a budget machine, and the i3 2120 is a very good low priced processor that wont bottleneck the new grafic cards. The i3 2120 outperforms all the AMD proccesors, and if you dont believe then go check famous sites like overclockers.net. Well Voiska that i3 build was not completly optimized yet, as it was just to give an idea of what it would cost and stuff. There are some things like motherboard-RAM compatibility and case choice. So dont buy anything yet. Post your finalized budget and Ill take a couple hours to post a complete finalized build and some guides on how to build the computer. It is not as hard as it may seem and as long as you follow the instructions and handle the components with care you will have no problem. A very important rule to remember when setting budgets: Wait for the moment when you have the most money available. So like when you sell that guitar, you might have the possibility to go up to 500 pounds budget (Just an example) And with those 100 pounds extra I might be able to squeze a cheap model of the i5 (wich has 4 cores and has even better performance. If you like speed you could also keep the i3 and add a ssd with that budget ( a ssd is a storage disk that has no moving parts and is very fast, if you put windows on a ssd you can completly boot up in a matter of seconds) So in short; post your budget, and Ill work out a good build. (Ill let it get checked by another forum wich has a lot of experts on it so Ill make sure its the cheapest and best possible)

Can people please read this thread before posting. I'm a guitar teacher who earns £100 a week I can't afford a £500 computer. And I don't know much about computers but I'm pretty sure I don't need an i5 to run this game Mansen does Soegs i3 build look the shiz? If so I think i'll just suck it up and start building that lol

20 words or less: Super-Low Humanity Detection
prokat replied to rocket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
YES but use a soaring guitar riff instead -
Yeah' date=' music looks to be one of the easiest assets to get in-game. Take that first track, I Got It Back, and drop most of the bass/effects. Take the strings and piano sections by themselves and slow it down/make it a bit quieter. DayZ had a more ambient type [s']soundtrack music selection. Same goes for Catastrophe Awaits. Drop the guitar(?) and the drums in the background. Something slower and more ambient :D
