How relevant is population in a game that's in early access? People will play the game when it's funner to play, that's all. When a killer patch is released, the word will spread. Gamers won't shun a good game because "it took too long to get there."

I approve of your handling of the situation. Really, when you make that initial contact, it's always well done. You're stern and you make it very clear you won't stand for any stalling.

1PP servers are better for that reason. It's a more grounded experience, and I suppose that attracts more players looking to survive. That, or you're so much more likely to run headfirst into someone without preparation, that pulling the trigger right away just isn't that viable an option.
