Farsight (DayZ)

I'd say its a lot further along than the mod in its alphaness... Atleast we aren't breaking our legs on doors or being eaten by rock monsters!

Perhaps when all the zombie problems are fixed with... Stronger Zeds. Maybe make them weaker during the day and they slowly gain strength as night falls. Yes, 7 Days to Die-esque, but that game makes zombies actually scary from time to time...

First encounter was in Balota at the airstrip at the dead of night. I had a wood splitting axe and was heading for the barracks after checking the ATC and hangers. I saw him open the door and start to walk in and walked around the corner... Until I saw he had an M4. Turned to get outta there and got shot in the back... Since then, I've not been shot by another play, though I've met a few, killing one because he wanted to respawn. Found his clothes a little further down the road...

Well, that was rather rude. Then again, what standards should I expect from a person named after a decaying fruit? Trolling aside, seems like I was more or less right, and I never said 5+ years. They have a lot to add, this is an alpha, a very early alpha at that, and you can't expect a perfect and polished game in a few months.

They are adding in base building, from what I've read, so why not wait for that and set up a base of your own and make it a 'safe zone'? Find like minded individuals to patrol it and all that.

They did make an attempt, but you didn't see the post about it. It's in the game, but with all the changes they've done, they haven't implemented it or 'turned it on' yet. They still have a lot of other bugs and glitches and additions to address as well. Just give them more time, they only released the early access like... A little over a week ago. As for the side question, however long they feel the need. I have a feeling they'll probably have it go toward the end of 2014 before they turn it to a beta, but that's just my opinion on it.

I personally try to avoid players. That way, I survive. It's how I had a character 30 days old in the mod. Anyway, I'm not going to tell ya how to play, since it is a sandbox, as everyone that advocates murdering fresh spawns blathers, but I am saying we do exist. Just don't expect to meet me. Anyway, I will say good luck and welcome to DayZ. Maybe, if you're lucky, you'll find me...

And now I know: if I see a group wandering the coast, shoot first. Thanks for the tip!

Next item added... Tissue Paper, for all the tears I see. I love this update, read through the changelog while in my CS class and, if all the major changes with the Zeds work, I'll probably enjoy this immensely. Just gotta wait for those servers though... -EDIT- @Jimeeh Not in regards to the question... Venomancer, FTW!

Welp, all whitelisted up, just need somepony to play with/meet up with... Currently with some Aussie Bandits... Not being one myself since I don't do that, I helped on of them over in Berenzino and didn't really want to die... AGAIN. Also, what server is this "Mini-Equestria" going to be on...?

Well, Siiri just quit due to the fact that "friendlies" kill other players, especially after helping them, among other things. I, myself, have gotten kinda bored of DayZ for now, but if we have meetings be hosted, I'll join in.

Well... Until they fix the other server... I won't be getting on the Ponyville server because of hackers, it was hacked 5 times today. PM me the details or I'll look for it.

Dam you Derpy!!! Going to make me juggle between servers now...
