Rick the Survivor 37 Posted October 12, 2012 You should be able to combine clips. So if you have 2 STANAG mags that have 15 rounds a piece you could combine them into one full 30 round mag. It wouldn't do it automatically for you but it would only take about the time of bandages. You can do this in real life, and it is a bit annoying have two inventory spaces filled with the same amount of ammo.

Scourge79 21 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) I personally think mags should be much more versatile. For example....SD STANAG and normal. They should be the same. Ie, get rid of "SD" stanag. In real life, its the same bloody calibre rounds, the clips are interchangeable...HELL, thats why STANAG came about in the first place.**Did you know, you can use PDW mags with the MP5?** Edited October 12, 2012 by Counterfeit79
hawc 63 Posted October 12, 2012 But they are not the same, SD round have less gunpowder to make them subsonic hence the name Silenced Rounds.
Pancho (DayZ) 1 Posted October 12, 2012 But they are not the same, SD round have less gunpowder to make them subsonic hence the name Silenced Rounds. Its the calibre and size of the cartrige that maters not the gunpowdercharge. U should be able to use bouth kinds of clips but u should not be abble to combine them as the rounds are different. Best-case scenario, you wear out the suppressor much faster. And finally, fourth, there have been multiple suggestions for this already, and the ammunition system is getting an overhaul. Likely, in the standalone, we'll be finding bullets instead of magazines, or vice-versa, and we'll be able to combine them.
