Status Indicators Not Working

Recommended Posts

Ok, so clearly I am new here. Hi. Anyways, I came here to hopefully answer this question. I have desprately checked Google and the Forums here for answers but I can't seem to find the problem. So, for some reason, my status indicators in-game don't work. I've tried switching servers but that doesn't seem to help. I looked all through the options as well with no luck. Any ideas on how to fix this? Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum. (The status indicators are the Food, Water, Temperature, and blood meters and such, this also includes the sounds and sight meters. Just FYI.) Thanks. :)

If you have your debug monitor (the one that shows your name, zombies, humanity etc.) turned on, your status indicators don't work.

Ok, wow I feel stupid. Thank you though, this fixed it.

Don't feel bad Dr_Gore

You'd really only have known if you had been playing prior to the last update, and happened to read the full text of the release notes specific to the update.

I don't believe there is any mention from scratch about it, and nobody expects you to read every post about all the different release notes.

See you in Chernarus!

btw, still handy to see that debug especially as a new player. It is helpful to know how many zombies are currently spawned (tells you more about other players, really) and it's good to know how far below 12000 your blood is before going into panic mode.

How do I turn on the debug? I played for the first time last night and thought it was off due the settings on the server I was on.

Ummm, Esc>Options>Game options>Dayz UI>Debug

Is there any workaround which will allow you to have the Debug Monitor switched on without it disabling your icons?

I know the notes from the patch said no but there is always some bright spark who is able to find a way

Any ideas?

I think there must be some way to do it. I've seen very recent youtube videos of players with both the debug monitor & indicators working at the same time. Although I haven't bothered to look for a answer.

I don't know of anyway to get both, but really we shouldn't be getting too attached to it. The debug monitor or anything similar isn't intended to be in the final game, Rocket even wants to remove the meters somehow. I just pull it up when I've take a few hits and see how close I am to 9k, since zeds knocking you out and killing you isn't fun.

Some servers have a working debug monitor, meaning that your indicators work.

It either works on your server or it doesn't, I don't think there's anything you can do client-side to change that.

I'm sorry if this is kind of late, but I've been wondering where is my debug menu? Has anyone else had this problem? It's kind of annoying, not knowing how much humanity you have, not knowing exactly how much blood I have, and not know my zombie kill count. Was the menu removed entirely form the game?

You can turn it on in the options however it will cause your HUD icons (food, water etc) to stop working when it's enabled, it will eventually be removed entirely, it was only meant to be there for debug purposes.

Meh, All you need to know is when to drink, eat, blood, and stay warm. What to lazy to keep count of Kills? The harder this game is the better! But yeah keep debug off unless you just want to see all green B)

Debug Menu = For Debug purposes... note "Debug." You can still turn it on through options, but it freezes your meters. Don't worry, it will soon be removed altogether! :).
