Strange goings on in Dayz today

I'm not sure what you'd call it but today I've been coming across a number of quirky goings on.

Recently I was shot, no big deal. I'm not going to cry about it like a lot of people do. So today I thought I'd play a few quiet servers to build up some of that loot again. The first server I logged into was night time. As I was in Electro I knew where things were so I just ran between buildings looting. Normal stuff until I came across a fishing boat sitting on its side behind the east fire station. Hackers I assume although I think there was probably only one other player on there.

Anyway, I make my way up to NWAF and after a food/bathroom break. I log back into another server, also almost deserted to find that the northern barracks was demolished completely. As I'm after that type of gear I switched to another server only to find I had spawned on the coast again (not after being asked to chose male or female). This sometimes happens but this time I spawned with Mk 48 Mod 0 along with lots of ammo and other goodies, night vision, gps, range finder. All the trimmings. Crazy stuff.

So after having a play with my free equipment I just thought I'd try another server to see if it stayed with me. Alas not, I was back to my original player. I've not come across anything else strange but I thought that three odd bits in one day deserved a note.

So if anyone cares, that's been my Dayz experience today. Anyone else had stuff like this happen?

Maybe you joined a private PVP orientated server? Other stuff sounds like hackers and guy with satchel charge.

Sounds about right. There's one I use that starts you pretty well tooled up.

Yeah, I logged in this morning and spawned on some empty stretch of land with a bunch of other players and no weapons. I dropped and joined a different server but instead of being up by the NW airfield I was outside of Cherno. I had all my stuff so that actually worked out for me. Hours later, I found I could see every player on the map. Also someone made the words "Fuck You Motherfucker" appear on my (everyone's) screen. Plus shit like making fires or refilling canteens seemed to be delayed for a minute or so.

It's getting crazy on Chernarus pub servers and its hardly worth even playing them anymore. I was silly enough to log on to US 1987 and was instantly teleported to the debug plains, into a pile of dead bodies before I had finished spawning. I logged onto a different server and spawned in Kamenka. Again. I had nothing but my Alice pack, empty of course. On my way to Zelenogorsk I noticed my levels flashing and realized that my levels (food/water/blood) hadn't reset. Thank god for the TMW medics :)

Luckily for me I had been exchanging PMs with some of the forum members and a very nice person invited me to join him on a Lingor server(which is a mao I'm not very familiar with) where he picked me up, helped me loot some decent gear and then I found a car! Sweet :) So now I'm Ridin' Dirty in Lingor :)

I also got white listed on a private hive server that evening so when I'm in the mood for Chernarus I think I'll go that route.

To me I treat most things in the game as little quirks. So long as I'm not constantly being screwed by hackers or glitches that cause me to die or lose all my gear for no reason I'm happy just treating it like a bit of a laugh. It isn't a full on game after all.

It must be me because although I do come across hackers (the annoying, cheating, bastard kind), I don't seem to come across those ones as often as others complain about on here. I mainly stick to German servers though as I get the feeling that most of that seems to happen on the US servers. I'm not saying that's how things are, it's just what I have come to see.
