Civillian Clothing Question

Hello,

I'm new to the game (I am a survivor) and I have a question regarding clothing that I need some clarification on.

For ease of discussion, let's refer to the 3 civilian outfits based on their vest/shirt colors:

• black/black
  
• black/grey
  
• beige/grey
  

As I understand it, you can spawn in with any of the 3 survivor outfits, but anyone looking at you may see you differently.

I might spawn in with the black/grey look, but someone else could see me as black/black and another person sees me as beige/grey. This also changes any time you spawn in.

This wiki article states:

If people already have civilian clothing and dress up in other civilian clothing, they will appear with black clothing (also looking black for all other players).

I presume this means the black/black outfit, with the greenish pants, seen here.

Is this permanent (for that character's life)? Will it last across various spawn ins on different servers?

Lastly, can you put civilian clothing on as a hero and revert to the look of a survivor?

About the hero skin.... You can only have the hero skin when you wear civilian clothing and must reach 5000 humanity. Your civvy clothing will change but will still remain ''civvy clothing''. To get the survivor skin with the baseball cap again, you must get negative humanity (Which will turn you into a bandit skin) then reach 2000 humanity to get the survivor skin again. Your skin will not change when wearing camo clothing or ghillie suit.

The game is client-side, so if you are wearing, for example, a black/black, others might see you as a beige/grey. It's sometimes confusing, but overall, you are going to see yourself as what your character starts as, and maybe the same for other players. Ghillie suit and bandit skin is irrelevant, and I am not sure about the Hero skin.

Well I gave it a shot, and indeed, putting on a 2nd civilian clothing while wearing civilian clothing does change you to black/black and apparently forces those around you to see it as well.

The plot thickens!

It made me lose 2500 humanity, but that came back upon respawn.

When I respawned, it was no longer the black/black combo for me or those around me; it was now black/grey.

I tried putting the civies on again (they were still in my inventory) and it changed me to beige/blue.

I dunno, I'm just going by what I read on the wiki.

I tried to get the hero skin, for whatever reason my Humanity stopped going up even though I killed two bandits and bandaged a player and gave him a blood bag ( I was sniping the Zed's after him ), he got hit by a Zed and was running towards me so I ran down to him and fixed him up (He was unarmed).... but my humanity just decided to hang out at 3804. I guess it is still buggy. Next day I shot a wookie that I spotted sniping electro with a AS50, and he wasn't a bandit apparently because I got knocked down to 1400 Humanity. Booo lol. All good though
