So, came to think of it, let's buff the enfield again and have them AS50/M107/L85 snipers on Droby hill and Cherno silos fear it again, whaddaya say? Enfield one-hit, or not? or maybe buff all damage again? VOTE!

I think the Lee is fine as it is. Ammo is everywhere and it will most likely knock a player out in 1 shot so you could finish them off with another anyway :3

Never been shot, myself, but I understand that it tends to leave a hole in you... Seeing as the human body doesn't really have any 'empty spaces', then getting shot anywhere by any firearm would damage something important and leave you in pretty bad shape. All gunshot wounds are considered medical emergencies.... So I reckon ALL guns need a good buffing...

This buffing shouldn't affect zombies, though... they're already dead and dont feel pain...

Anyway I think 2x shot to kill with Enfie is ok, since it's usually the first rifle anybody can find, lots of ammo and is still pretty powerfull as it is now. Lee Enfield is basicaly slower firing FN FAL or M14.

What irked me more was the nerf to pistols, submachine guns and AK74's.

The Enfield being a .303 round SHOULD be a one hit kill, leaves a .303 round sized hole in the front, leaves a canyon in the back... it's a lethal rifle, if only you could manually reload the bolt system to speed up reload.... Plus should have the option of 2x 5round magazines that sit on top of each other...

Lastly, crumpet or Waffles.... what about us Muffin lovers???

People forget they are comparing a Pre- WW2 Rifle to modern days Assault Rifles... for what it is the Enfield is a serious piece of kit...

Zombies aren't dead. They are very much alive. They are people that have been infected with a virus that shuts down higher brain functions, or some such shit.

Also, bring the Lee back to the 12500 damage mark. It's a .303 battle rifle. You aren't gonna get back up after being shot by one of those centre mass.

umm if the enfield was a 1-shot kill, those same AS50 hilltop sniper would simply pick that gun up and use it..

i dont see how buffing the Enfield helps fresh spawns tbh.

I think maybe you should have asked a question in relation to "reality" or "game balance". I see the weapon as being in a good position in this game. When starting a new life I focus on getting either an Enfield or an AKM and then head north so I can kill players with better weapons and take theirs. For me I see it as serving its purpose in the game. If I have a tent Ill also keep the enfield in there, so if Im looting I use it. People say that its bad for looting because of its audible range, but they are using it wrong. Clear a line of zeds from range and then go into loot. Dont just fire it in the middle of a city. Although even when you do this the zeds are completely manageable if you know how to handle the enfield and zeds. I'm not really into the whole "but this is what id does in real life" as much as I am about balance.

Yes, but the entire dayz mod is set up on being the anti game, The attempt at realism is what makes it great. In rl a .303 brit round is no slouch, its similar to 7.62 NATO wich is a very capable man stoper.

The only change I would want is bring the AKs damage back.

Some tweaking for the shoguns would cool too.

The pistols nerf was nice I think, now I always aim for the head, and I gave up my revolver for PDW/G17 (still love the revolver though, awesome accuracy and shitloads of ammo).
