Easiest way to avoid hackers ( for noobs who don't know)

Recommended Posts

From experience, the most populated servers are where the mass killings take place. I usually used to sort by player numbers, until I realized that the hackers loved to grief to higher populated servers.

Now, I have a few servers that I stay in that are between 20-30 people at the most at a time, and have not had a problem yet.

or here is a completley fool safe, 100% gaurantee to avoid Script Kiddies.....

DONT PLAY DAYZ WHILE ITS STILL ALPHA...

Nothing can be done and you will eventually find them on the quieter servers.

Last time I saw a hacker was on a 20+ server. Now I join low pop servers and my char. is on day 17

Step one: be a care bear on a low population server.

Step two: Be happy that your character just reached his twentieth day on Dayz after spawn.

Step three: Gain false sense of security and get bored with low population server.

Step four: Enter medium to high population server and get hack attacked within an hour and die.

Step five: Rinse and repeat.

Nope, hackers are everywhere. If I die to hackers, I don't count it as a death, so I hop low pop servers for tents to get gear that I earned legitimately before I "died". Hopped on two servers today with three people on, got hacked in both. Three people. God damnit.

It's true, but hackers are only an extension of the #1 rule of DayZ:

You can die anytime, anywhere, REGARDLESS of how many people are on the server.

I have died in the northern most deerstand 5 minutes after logging in, with just me and one other person on the server.

I once logged into a server with three other people south of Devil's castle in the forest and saw a player running by and shot him. He claimed hacker and I completely understood why he would think that, still laugh to this day at that poor guys misfortune.

The server I play on has very few hackers (saw one in the last few weeks), but it only has like 5-10 people who play on it at a time which sucks. 20+ is hacker haven, I think you've just been lucky.

wearing ghillie suit is actualy also atracting them instantly to you as they see your name + sniper when you wears it on the map.

i actually quit playing dayz as i can't see how i would play this game without a ghillie.

It use to be that way. I was on Us124 and there were 4 people total. I was running across the field in elektro to go to the east hills when I thought I heard footsteps. I looked around, but saw nothing. So I continued running and heard an echo..I immediately talked in direct chat asking if anybody was there. Sure enough, a hacker comes out of invis and says ya I'm here, while laughing. He had a golden ak with a hacked in skin. I laughed and said "don't take this personal, but" and then aborted.
