Dog fights?

Recommended Posts

Before you report me to the imperial guards, ponder this scenario:

You have a dog + the bandit that is trying to kill you also has a dog. The bandit's dog runs to where you and your dog are hiding...what's next?

Answer: A dog fight!

Now, I'm not saying we need to consult Michael Vick on how to make these dog fights as realistic as possible, but i'd expect there to AT LEAST be some sort of canine vs. canine action. Anyway, I hope this gets implemented at some point, if it's not already there.

You'll have to forgive me for being a bit sceptical about this.

How would a player find, and then befriend a dog within the game world, realistically?

&

How would you expect having a dog companion to fit into the existing gameplay once the player has one?

What ? really ? Have you been following dayz dev much ? Dogz being implemented in the 1.7.3 patch. Dogz will be able to find game + more.

Dog fights have been mentioned many times over the past few months by forum users but nothing from Rocket or co.

As to how would you find and befriend a dog..well how do you think ? C'mon its not that hard , let me help..

Here boy , whistle whistle, dangle food.

:D

I just don't know in rl or in game how else do you befriend an animal , initially, other than calling it or giving it food. Seems like the basics to me. :)

Answer: Turn that mutt's cerebral cortex into spaghetti with your high-powered military rifle and watch as its master destroys their keyboard trying to hit abort.

Fixed.

I'd prefer to find dogs hiding in the dog houses spread out in the game and/or hiding near rural towns or barns. Perhaps a random event of a pack of zombies chasing a dog?

Can your dogs have sex (with other dogs of course - although their could be a 'special' version for Germans) and have puppies ?

Maybe this is why the dog patch is already 18 days late, DRH has been perfecting those dog shag animations :-)

The game is not meant to be realistic. To compare any game to something realistic wouldn't make scene because it wouldn't be fun. the game is meant to be authentic and not realistic, rocket said so himself,

Taking bets while bandit A's dog is up against bandit B's dog in a controlled and planned environment would be awesome. Chernarus bookmaking.

It's a great way to get some free press, I can see the attention grabbing headlines now:

"GAME PROMOTES ANIMAL CRUELTY"

Anything like this will be a bit too "real" for some animal rights group, plus I would prefer my dog eats you so I don't suffer the consequences

I want to feed mine swans. Served on a bed of slow-braised red cabbage, dauphinois potato and a port reduction.

Eh, any publicity is good publicity, right? Who cares what the media say, it's not like it's going to be one of the main aspects of the game, it will just be included as a feature. I'm not trying to promote animal cruelty, but again, it is an apocolyptic wasteland, and i'd love to be like mad max, with my dog of war.

Naughty, only the queen is allowed to eat swans. That's actually true over here! I'm not kidding.

Damn hey. Our pm is lucky to get fish and chips.. that may, or may not be fish :D

I wonder who plucks the swans ? that's the cream job right there lol. Official Swan plucker, to the Queen. What a title. I bet you she goes straight for the necks too, bloody Queens. You can't even get a decent chook over here that is any bigger than a starving pigeon and she is off eating swans. My mind is semi boggled.

Answer: A dog fight!

I see your point, I see its a survival mod, but I doubt they (Bohemia) are allowed to depict something so illegal, so base, so in humane... Sorry.

Although hacking someone to death with an axe seems to have made it into the game.

Clearly death by a blunted and rusty instrument is all above board old chap, teeth and all that gnarling and gnashing though..just not right.
