Better Ambient Sounds!

Recommended Posts

So if you go to about 1:10 on this video here .....

You will here some amazing ambient that FRANKIEonPCin1080p added while editing. I think this should go into the game. I really find the noises creepy especially at night time. Just to give the game the extra creepiness of a survival horror. > :D

I dont know, What do you guys think? :)

I think a lot of work could be done on the ambient sounds, I made a suggestion on it over here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/16342-player-activated-environment-sounds/

As for your suggestion, I don't think a mod would be put into the game. The devs want to build the stuff themselves for several reasons.

Agreed, sounds are *damn* important to the game. More so than really anything else. Much work to be done, not just on the sounds but how the engine deploys them. High on the list chaps! Max's suggestions are fantastic (as always!)

I believe infected should do more howling like the video. The current sounds are good and fairly horrifying but nothing would compare to the howl of a zombie. A secondary effect to a zombie howling is the potential for other players to hear the howling from a distance. This would make the infected more dangerous because it would give away a player's location more easily.

Just a thought

Really like those.

I would love for distant (loud) sounds in the game to actually sound like they are really far away like how we percieve them real life. Would love to hear a gunshot echo through a valley in Chernarus, followed by screaming/howling of aggroed zombies and maybe a player getting eaten. I want this game to bring chills down my spine :D
