Wabid Wabit 34 Posted September 11, 2012 I know the guns are suppose to be identical besides the flashlight and camo but why is it so much easier to find then the M4A1 cco? My opinion only I seem to find it more accurate for head-shots on Zeds, also seems to me the distance has better accuracy also, I set up shop in a big white barn with both guns for fun and at distance I was getting better head-shots with M4A3 - Anyone have an opinion? or find same results as I? The DZDB Map thingy has it as a better chance of find then the M4A1 cco which I find correct but I think it should be opposite. You get the pretty color and a Deathlight all in one. Either way I love it and found it to be one of my Favs. Thanks for reading my blabber mouth :)
Max Planck 7174 Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) I think the M4A3 has a vertical handle on the front, doesn't that make it more accurate? Not sure, but I think it says so on the wiki. Edited September 11, 2012 by Max Planck

I'm gonna look at the configs and check this out.
JackPotDayz 26 Posted March 18, 2013 Personally prefer the M4A3 CCO as you can use it to blind enemy targets with Night Vision on.
JackPotDayz 26 Posted March 18, 2013 However the specs seem to be the same, with both guns using the same rounds, theres no noticeable difference
Death_Dealer 3155 Posted March 18, 2013 Personally prefer the M4A3 CCO as you can use it to blind enemy targets with Night Vision on.The flashlight on the CCO isn't functional.I'll take either gun, but would prefer the M4A3 for dat camo.
-Gews- 7443 Posted March 18, 2013 Bullzeye - I just checked and you are correct. ThanksAbout the accuracy, I just checked the configs - false (unless I'm missing something  quite possible, me being me).-M16: dispersion = 0.0001 (0.00175 in full auto)M4A1: dispersion = 0.00175, same for full autoM4A3: dispersion = 0.00175, same for full autoThe M4A3 doesn't handle faster (dexterity) than the M4A1 either.
eYmz 5 Posted March 18, 2013 The flashlight on the CCO isn't functional.I seem to have it working every time I play though. Really nice when playing while dark, and without the NVG. Also bound the light key to my mouse, wich makes it way more easy to handle. Not really preferable running around with the lights on all the time.
Wabid Wabit 34 Posted March 18, 2013 Sorry to confuse everyone, I based the difference off sitting in a barn and pegging Zeds with Head shots, not from Military specs, or Wiki's - The M4A3 had less drop shooting distance then the M4A1, Things that may have effected my decision could have been, Wind blowing faster or harder, Zed was shorter then the other, Zed may have walked in a dip in the field (LOL) But over all I had better head shots with the M4A3 without over or under aiming, aldo in Game I would rather have the M4A3 then the M4A1 (Unless it was the SD) Just a personal preference....Thanks for the feedback all
burritoman259 593 Posted March 18, 2013 Wind blowing faster or harder There is no wind in dayz/arma 2 (default) to my knowledge, although only recently someone was working on a wind system for dayz.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted March 18, 2013 I've only ever found M4A3 CCOs and M4A1 CCO SDs. I didn't realise both variants were available in DayZ, lol. xD
