Ew, I don't want to see more artifacts, no pics pl0x.

Anyway, I've been riding my bike around cities and in the Airfields and I haven't seen an artifact, yet.

Seems to be fixed for me....played all day, came along tons of dead bodies & barbed wire and could even look at them without fearing to get suck into the portal of doom.

Have you been able to determine what object is causing it?

Military objects do. Barbed wire, sandbags, bunkers, tank traps, dead soldiers, humvees, etc.

Two screens, small but enough to see the tearing. In game I can see where it originates, but I'm not gonna go and run in to find out what it is with 30 people in cherno

tearing != artefacting

Not tearing dicklock, I can see that there is clearly an object creating the errors. Good contribution though, you've educated so many.

Right, I was just curious because I've seen other objects create the artifacts on my end. Like the shipping cranes for example.

And it's hard for anyone to do anything with the "I still get artifacts" complaint, at the very least they'll need to know exactly what object is causing it.

I have found that dead soldiers still do give this bug, however not nearly as often as before, and in some cases it was somewhat transparent so I could still see fine through it.

Wire fences are the culprit. I guess when the graphical errors were introduced on July 26th, they were intended as a feature.

Have you tried a flush since the patch? I had it pretty bad yesterday in Stary, changed around video settings to do that flush thing and it helped a lot, much more than it did when I played a month or so ago. Spawned in this morning after patching and haven't had an issue since.

they were not intended as a feature. why do people say stupid shit like that? are you just trying to be a dick?

it's a known issue, that's been around since before the 1.7.2.5 artifacts. it's why there is now this thread in Announcements:

http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/87570-should-we-remove-barbed-wire-in-the-next-update/

Forgot to understand sarcasm eh kitten?

Here's the thing, we shouldn't need to remove wire fences which prior to .4? didn't create massive graphical errors just because a halfass hotfix didn't fix something that used to work perfectly fine.

If you don't know how (and for anyone googling how), to get rid of artifacts, you hold down left shift, press the - on the Number Pad, let go of shift and the -, and type flush.

You won't be able to see the word, but if you did it right, it should say "Activating flush", and your screen will go black a couple of seconds, and say "Receiving...", sometimes it clears 'em, sometimes it just seems worst.

I think it was the arma update that caused this, made the game look better but had some unintended consequences. Now calm down and take a deep breath or don't ask questions in the first place.

Yuh huh, thanks man. We all knew a LONG time ago. shouldn't have to flush or alter scene complexity to fix errors in the coding.

Well, I didn't ask a question. This issue has been fixed now; three times. Patch notes have stated that they "should" be fixed. from not being broken in the first place. Please pay attention sugarpuss.

Been getting it alot since the patch, mostly from barbed wire that tends to clip with its surroundings.
