The Friendly Bandit 137 Posted September 7, 2012 Hi guys, I've been playing dayz for 2 months now but i have a really bad computer for games. Im lucky if i get 20 outside of a city or a forest and in them, i get around 8-10 and my computer overheats and crashes. Because the technical name of the new computer i am buying is too long to post in here, this is a link to information about the computer i am going to buy. http://electronicsreviews4u.com/gaming-desktop-pcs/cyberpower-high-performance-gaming-desktop-pc-gua850I need to know if this will be able to run dayz at at least 30 fps. I dont really care about the graphics as long as i can get the game working with 30-60fps. Thx
Scotty232 1 Posted September 7, 2012 Ye, that will run definitely run it.
merrfack 90 Posted September 7, 2012 also try using gameboost pro beta3. I've had some good luck with that. Also close anything in your back ground, set your view distance to like 1000 and turn down how detailed terrain is. (I assume if you haven't already)

I haven't messed with it because I left it the same from my arma2:oa days. Thanks for the tip
*Exile* Sami 188 Posted September 7, 2012 Yah, like everyone else said, you will destroy this game with that ;P
Kyzahh 127 Posted September 7, 2012 I'm not sure, but in DayZ is always same distanceYou can turn it down I'm pretty sure, but it has a max that it won't go past which I think is like 2400?

Matchstick556 12 Posted September 7, 2012 I believe you asked this question already. As I said before, Game Debate says you'll be able to run it, but your video card will be lower end. Be prepared to upgrade your GPU. If possible, spend a little more on a different GPU and get a nicer one. You'll be glad you did.
son54 78 Posted September 7, 2012 Is everyone here trolling? No way will that computer ever run a decent game.

The Friendly Bandit 137 Posted September 8, 2012 Well, what kind of fps would i be getting here? i'd be happy if it is at least 30 and how would that be relative to me putting down all the graphics to the lowest possible resolution? thx
Insaniac (DayZ) 235 Posted September 8, 2012 What computer do you have now? It may be cheaper simply to upgrade some parts of your existing one rather than buy a new one.

The Friendly Bandit 137 Posted September 29, 2012 Hello, I am currently running dayz on a i3 core emachines laptop. Its terrible. I have been looking for extremely low priced gaming computers to urn the game as I have neither the time nor the inclination to build one myself. I have found this computer for a rock bottom price and was wondering if it could run the game. This is a link to the info about the computer: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3443247&csid=_61Plz help me, thx in advance. Kyzahh 127 Posted September 29, 2012 It may. But it won't be a huge increase (if any at all).
The Friendly Bandit 137 Posted September 29, 2012 So, whats the cheapest computer i could get without making one that would at least get 40-50 fps on dayz?
Hockeyguy 107 Posted September 29, 2012 This computer is at a very good price but sometimes you have to spend more to get more. When buying a computer you want something that will last and be able to play games that will come out in the coming years. If I was going to get a new gaming computer I would get a desktop computer as it is easier to play games and usually have an all around better gaming system but that is just what I think. When playing DayZ it is very CPU intensive and that is where my computer is lacking and that is the reason why I lag every once and a while but as for the computer itself I don't know how well it will run DayZ or other games but the only thing I can say is get something with a very good CPU. :)
The Friendly Bandit 137 Posted September 29, 2012 Do you have any specific suggestions for models of computers? How much would an asus g73jw cost and would that work?

How much would an asus g73jw cost and would that work?I don't have any suggestions, I bought my computer a couple of years ago and I built my computer to get the best parts for the lowest price so I don't know any specific parts, sorry. :(
The Friendly Bandit 137 Posted November 4, 2012 This build is an ASUS K55VD-SX234SSpecs:Intel Core i5 3210M Processor15.6" LED HD (1366 x 768) Display6GB DDR3-1600 RAM750GB HDD2GB Dedicated GraphicsThx
tommes 331 Posted November 4, 2012 For DayZ you should get something with a SSD and the fastes CPU you can afford."Dedicated Graphics Card" does not provide enough information. It should be really decent one to play any sort of 3D game.
SP45M 240 Posted November 4, 2012 Thats an excellent computer you should buy Warz right away and go play it.
