Hacker grey area

Another possibly useless poll. Seems most all hate the skiddies..but not really. We do not like being killed by them, but everyone loves the weapons crates. Common argument for the taking weapons is 'Rocket said..yada yada'.

Best comeback i have seen was a recent one after some dude wanted to know if he should take weapons from a crate ( hint, he already did anyway ) .. comeback by Sticker704 was..

' I'm just waiting for the next post saying 'I got killed by a sniper - fuck this game' which i thought was pretty fucking fitting :)

So whats the deal, you like the pros but hate the cons..is it too much of a grey area because the skiddies have put a layer of icing on top of their shit cake and the icing is nice but the shit tastes like shit ?

Cue debate for the good skids versus the insta kill skids. My vote, just so it is out there is they can all take a jump :) Not interested in the hacked in weapons, i can find my own thank you very much. Keep your thunderdome, it's not why i am playing Dayz, had enough of small map fps games that i don't need a Dayz version pushed on me.

Cue secondary debate about duping (not part of this topic) or the game is not fair because a rock ate my char and i have to start again , boofuckinghoo.

Cue third debate, but i just cannot get anywhere because everyone else is so geared and its not fair, see the boofuckinghoo part.

No question for me. Hackers are all bad. getting rid of them would be excellent.

That said, I alwasy equip myself at Hackers tents with no shame. The fact is you need to play with what you can get, and at the moment this world is a post zombie apocalypse wasteland that is bristling with guns and high level military equiptment people have left in tents.

I dearly hope at some stage in the future we will see a world that is a post zombie apocalypse wasteland that has an Ok supply of low levels weapons and a really rare smattering of high level military stuff, as that would make the game way more fun and survivalist for me.

The fact is in either world, im going to use what i can find.

No grey area imho. All black. Skids should be, like we say here in Finland, be "taken behind the sauna". (a shot in the back of the head implied).

OP what is it youre trying to accomplish again?

Have a lively debate, maybe plant a seed, get people thinking differently i know i know..but anyway. The skids have more power than the legit community does at this point in game. Not because they can kill you at any time but because they offer the good toys and people fall all over themselves to get hold of the best gear, even when planted by the ones they will foam at the mouth at here on the forums because they just got teleported and died.

Fucking hackers are ruining this game !! OOOOOhhh look..a weapons crate ! Sure its just a game, but i bet the skids are laughing their asses of everytime they see a rage thread about someone getting tele'd or domed..Heys guys check it.. another kegit user got killed with his as50 tws,G36, nvgs and rangefinder. Lest spawn some more crates and keep them happy sniping.

Well, it is actually more of a figure of speach (these days). ;) But the effective counterpart in this situation would obviously be the permaban.

The only hackers I've liked, are the ones doing spooky, scary or funny shit. Face it, spawning cows in parachutes is pretty fucking funny. Also the hacker that made the Green Mountain myth is a hero, IMO. I mean, wtf, be original! But all the rest, including cheaters and dupers, are fuck all.

Hackers that provide a heightened game experience are actually pretty cool, and I hope some of their stuff is incorporated into the standalone. However I'm not talking about the ones spawning in stuff for other players, or hackers teleporting survivors into the Thunderdome. They can go fuck off.

There need not even be a script involved. Just look at the voice trollers. I love those guys!

The scary moments like that are cool and can be done without any scripting like you said, just a bit of imagination.
