Underrated Weapons

Besides M14, I think AKS-74U and M16A2 are a bit underrated. AKS-74U is a terrific close quarters weapon, amazingly quick to handle and gets stuck indoors less than pistols. Quiet, common ammo, more compact and better sights than Kobra IMO. M16A2 is very accurate at longer medium ranges, adequate at CQ too. Better than its reputation I quess.

Also, for some reason most people seem to think that L85A2 AWS is terribly inaccurate. I find that if I don't mess with default zeroing of 300m, it is one of the more accurate ARs out there.

The most underrated sidearm is Makarov, you can find ammo for it around every corner, so if you run into trouble, run inside a building, shoot the zombies precisely in the head and grab a mag to refill your ammo. I just wish they include the suppressed Makarov in the standalone.

The most underrated rifle is Lee Enfield. People fear it's noise, but it's a very lethal weapon, it will kill you in 2 shots. And even if you spend all your ammo shooting zombies, you can find more in every residental or farm area.

Just to point this out: AKM is not underrated, it's one of the most common and powerful military rifles. It's also my favourite rifle.

Personally, I love some guns that haven't quite made their way into this mod, but are available on some private hives.

Recently I've been playing a private hive (Haven Australia, for the record) - Custom map, weapons and spawns. Anyway I'm not here to advertise so I'll cut to the point. I am in love with the G36. Amazing gun, great sights, particularly the G36K. Its accurate, small,great looking, and just an all-around great weapon. The G36C SD is a good assault rifle for quick and silent kills, so I don't see a real downside.

Sidearm: Makarov (Yes, would you like to argue about it?): It is just such a reliable weapon against zombies, and occasionally that odd player. Has gotten me out of some tough situations. With it's common extent in the world and plentiful ammo, never underestimate this efficient sidearm.

Primary: Winchester 1866, the gun that one the west: A fine shotgun (RIFLE GOD DAMMNIT) under it's fine and fairly common ammo. Effective zombie weapon and good for single player engagements in close quarters. Has done well in long ranges for me.

Rare: Bizon PP-19 SD: Though very rare and sometimes criticized for it's iron sights and weak damage, I see it as a great weapon in engaging players with. If you are lucky to find a few clips, you will have enough ammo in that clip to eliminate at least 2 players with a cool head and quick thinking.

Any facts based in this OPINION can be proven false, but this is not my problem.

M16A2 or M4A1, I've been playing ArmA 2 for a year now.. with or without ACE 2, I gotta admit it's been my favorite weapon ever since... plus the common spawn of magazines won't be such a burden to finding ammo. Two bullets into the body of your target takes him down immediately, recoil is not too bad, but CQB is best left to the crosshairs though :)

My choice of underrated weapons are either the M14 or the Lee Enfield.

Both are viable weapons with a good stopping power.

AKM is probably the best weapon for coastal work. Nearly all my kills have come from it.

MK48 is a bit too much for this game. If zombies were a real threat it would be ideal but right now it's just a player butcher and really overpowers the guy using it.

M16 acog for one, that gun is amazing at pin point accuracy over mid ranges. AKM is perfect for shooting vehicles, I find the gun controls well enough to shoot players out and not mess up the vehicle itself. When it comes to firing on any vehicle other than a chopper, I'll take an AKM over anything.

Cause they totally didn't just dupe the items. Obviously, they decided to put their CD-Key at risk by scripting in two sets of gear, then figured that was far enough and managed to not esp you or have godmode on or.... Should I continue?

Yes?

In a high pop server, just go to electro and you'll probably find like 4 radios (which are scripted)
