I honestly don't see the point is fighting against hacks or scripts etc when the game is supposed to be in an alpha stage. My latest character who I'd invested roughly 15 hours in, was just killed due to the simply action of... logging onto a server. 15 hours wasted because there is a bug in the game that can kill your character when you log onto a server. Shouldn't THAT be a priority for being fixed? Since this is an alpha, why is it so important to stop people scripting in loot? Considering there are 101 ways for the game to arbitrarily take your loot away, why shouldn't I google for some scripts to replace my gear? Seriously, this is a fun game to play but I see absolutely no reason why I shouldn't script myself some items since this is now the fourth time something like this has happened.

i'll tell you why.. he has played for three weeks and has not found any good gear yet..seriously ? Most have decent legit gear after a few days of playing, i am not talking top tier military like as50's, nvgs and a rangefinder ..but winnies, enfields, aks, m4s,m16s, m14s etc. It is not even that hard to get hold of a DMR if you want a weapon with a good scope. There are plenty of people playing legit who are not scripting and do not feel the need to. When he dies he god modes and kills them. When he dies with his scripted in shit other people find it and it adds to the in game hacked weaponry and items. I also dont want some scriptee fuck 'helping' me out by filling my char with a coyote and all items plus a ghillie. Fuck that shit.

I'm against hackers that go around teleporting, killing people, and killing entire servers. Or those that give themselves epic weapons just to prey on legit players.

But when I met my first hacker, who was a dog and started making cat noises through his microphone before just having a conversation with me, and then he, as a dog, started farting rainbows and saying "I'm Nyan dog", then spawned a weapon crate and offered me weapons.

I just can't be mad at that, he said all he does is go around entertaining people and helping them out.

All I see from the OP is "I'm not very good at this game, people kill me too much, so I negate the whole point of playing the game, which is to survive and get gear, but give me and my friends good gear, and then cheat when I feel like I don't want to die...even though I'm a hacker and can just get more gear anyways." Yeah, dude. It is unfair at first. That's the point of a survival game. That's why this is the first horror game that is actually terrifying. That's why when you survive the coast and get your basic gear you put your ass on the line going to the NWAF or Stary to get military grade weapons. You need to be stealthy and smart. You may need to be a good shot. When you do find your AS50 or silenced M4 you will be stoked, and suddenly the stakes rise because you don't want to die and lose it. You'll never know anything about that. Want to know why EVERYONE has great weapons? Because of assholes like you who spawn weapons and then promptly get killed/looted because you suck at playing the game.

What you do ruins the game for everyone, but probably more importantly for you, it robs you of the experience of playing DayZ.

Being new to the game right now while the tents/vehicles are broken and everyone who had them with stuff in it are getting it duped every reboot, I could understand the scripting in the weapons, although not condoning it.

Fair? Its a game and your new to it. When you die, your supposed to vow to not make the same mistake next time and get better. The only valid excuse to use cheats is to keep yourself from getting hacked to death. All others are the result of flawed logic and ignorance. Your playing an immersive computer game using incredible new technology called a computor, HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR IT. To be immersed in the game world you need to *commit* yourself to the experience and the rules of the world, mentally. You pretend like your there.
