Posting location of camps?

There are people who hacks/scripts and post locations of camps in this forum. I strongly believe the forum staff should start banning/taking down threads like those simply because this game is currently flooded with cheaters. Releasing locations is just letting hackers win in this game. The camps will be flooded with more and more cheaters and make legit players rage quit/relocate numerous times which should've been un-needed.

I suggest waiting the standalone, but as of now, camps being released on this forum are getting flooded with cheaters/combat loggers.

I have already been compromised about twenty times because cheaters go into my camp and then giving the locations out to more people which was dragging in more hackers.

People are going into your camps... Doesn't mean they are hackers.

As Rocket has said, meta-ing is allowed. Don't like people raiding your camp? Move or post a damned guard.

So the solution is to ban/remove anyone who gives away locations instead?

Sounds suspiciously like players hurt over their camps getting raided.

Helicopters make it really easy. Some people will spend all day looking for camps. The only time people tell camp locations is when you have like 50 as50s, 50 m4a3s, 50 range finders, etc etc. Then it is obvious it was a duper or hacker. If it seems like a legit camp, I never see people posting it.

Agreed it's a douche thing to do. Even if it is hackers that are finding your camp. We got to hope BE can one day stop them.

But , what we can't do is Lock/delete those type of threads im affraid.

It's a bitch tactic to post a camp location and people need to stop claiming hacker for everything... I had a huge camp, everything you could ever imagine, we even got called hackers and dupers because of it but we didn't. We either stole it or looted it.

Definately agree that any threadsade revealing camps should be closed and deleted

Yeah, guys. I mean, I don't call out hacks without confirming it.

There have been people with radios, L85 CWS?, and more items that aren't even in the game.

Not only that, there were also people who came in and shot some of my friends but died. And when I loot the body, he/she had no gear on them.

I've never posted camp locations but i don't see the harm of doing it.

Maybe when the hackers and scripts problem disappear this type of actions will be seen normal. Is nice to think that your camp is in danger and you have to set up some kind of guard post in it. The down side is when the server is announced and all the hackers are on their way to it, in that case is very sad.

For instance if i encountered a really big camp i will post something in here, but again, when all the servers are safe from hackers and scripters. Just for the fun of other players trying to get a hold on it.

When I say location, I also mean the server name. I had to move to other servers because of this.

Lately, this month, I've been getting cheaters and I've confirmed it. People had radios, L85 CWS, and other items that aren't even in DayZ. Some also seem to take more than 15 M4A1 SD shots to kill, but when the person shoots me, I die in 1-2 shots. Then there are people who I loot after I kill them in a gun fight. When I loot their bodies, they have nothing on them after dying.

Last night there were two threads with camp locations, both were obvious traps imo.

I'm against it but it's really just meta griefing, which is allowed.

I've found some fortresses and never even wrote down the locale so i could revisit it myself.
