Multiple Characters

Will we have multiple chars in Dayz standalone? Be nice to have different playstyles without losing all your gear.

The problem with multiple accounts is that one might just be made to keep items like a bank.

Every time you spawn you just send a couple weapons from your bank character over to your main acount.

I don't really have a problem with that but I'm sure people on this forum would.

With tents there's always the risk of losing everything plus u have to run back there if you die so if u can just teleport things between characters that would be pretty stupid however, unless Rocket is going to completely change the nature of this game, I would think there won't be this options of "characters"

Tents are out of place once you die, you died, you are a new player not 'knowing' where that tent was.

I would prefer to see tents "die" with you.

its already possible. buy a 2nd copy of the game. and im sure u will be able to do the same thing with the standalone. buy multiple copies.

I like the OP's idea but it will be a bad move for the items itself tho.

I've been wonder whether or not buy an additional arrowhead copy to play a totally different style. On the other hand, someone will always find a way to make this a bad idea although they are right.

Bottom line: this never will be the case. You have to buy an additional copy to have an additional character.

I feel that having multiple characters dilutes the risk/reward mechanic DayZ is built around and I hope it's never added to the main game. Why would you fear death if you have 4 other fully armed characters ready to go on the click of a button? It is also open to a lot of abuse (using alt characters as mules to stash equipment near the coast is an easy example).
