Okay, so maybe it is a privileged position we're given and yes I suppose it is a 'mod' rather than a 'game'...but cmon, how long does it take to fix a patch that has broken the mod.. Take me back to last week when I was actually able to play the game.

So what I'm trying to say is... I wish they'd release working patches.

Sounds like the dust of rage settled and your seeing with clearer vision. Yes, things can be frustrating, but persevere, look for fixes (many of us do not get visual glitches anymore, I for one) or sit out a patch or two. I havn't played in over a week due to the abundance of hackers, but it doesn't put me into a position where I find it absolutely necessary to curse everything on an internet forum.

Just an observation. There has been a few negative replies that state things like "It is a mod. Don't complain, just accept it."

I was under the impression that mods under development thrive on feedback. Particularly negative feedback so they can improve the product. It's the way all business works.

Next time to avoid the shrapnell just write the post in the 'Bug Reports' section and stick to the facts in an objective way. Job done. I would have thought it was OK to blow off steam in this part of the forums but obviously some people don't agree. Hate replies by disaffected gamers don't help.

For the record, you are right. There is a problem for many players and servers at the moment. Check twitter for updates. In my area no one has been able to load a game since Friday 10th. Phenomenally frustrating. I keep another PC game on standby for these times and check in twice a week.

I've also had 0 (zero) problems with the latest patch. It fixed exactly what rocket said it would fix. Try reinstalling, if that dont work and you think it's unplayable, there's quite a simple solution to that, which I won't even bother typing. On another note, I've currently stopped 'playing' because the tents apparently dont work, and I would need to set up camp in order to proceed with my survival. It's a bitch, but I don't freak out about it. It has been reported prolly about 9000 times, they know about it and I'm pretty sure things are being worked on. Chill.

They've completely fucked the game with this recent patch and to begin with I thought "It's alpha, this sort of thing is to be expected' but now it's 5+ days after the fact and it's still not fixed? I mean what the fuck. The game is unplayable, I can barely find a server that will actually pass the loading screen and the graphical glitches are still running rampant. It's poor enough that they release such a horrid patch to begin with, but not fixing it within a reasonable time frame is even worse.

Did they just give up on this mod all together and start working on this 'stand alone' version of the game?

Use DayZ Commander to ensure you are joining servers that match both your DayZ version and Arma2 Version and you won't get stuck at loading.

Also the CTRL, - , Flush fixes the graphics 90% of the time for me.

As mentioned, take a step back from the game, It's easy to get frustrated but even easier to take a break and come back calmer.

Both the 'flush' and your advice might help some people some times. Everyone should at least try, but do not advertise it being a fix for everyone.

You see, some don't even have artifacts, some can temporarily make them disappear with those or other fixes, for some (e.g. me) flush can even make it worse.

It's not meant to come off as rude, but it's simply annoying to read posts, caliming those things would be absolute fixes. They aren't and its spreading misinformation, you know?

sometimes flush works for me. sometimes resolution change works. sometimes changing vid memory works. sometimes nothing works. sometimes i have the glitch but not my friend.

its all a bit annoying because the patch patched the glitch in, for most people. maybe they would rather really get to the bottom of what is causing it, rather than remove wires/bodies etc. we just have to wait

Okay okay okay, the rage has faded and I feel foolish for the original post. I've started using DayZCommander rather than Six Launcher and it seems to do the trick.

Try decaf mate. I can't get on any servers either since the new patch however I did notice the other day that there was 30k players on so that tells me that either its a problem with my comp or everyone else figured out how to fix the problem. However a lot of my friends can't get on a lot of servers either. But honestly with War Z coming out before this game that's where all their effort should be is in the standalone and not the mod. But if anyone knows how I can fix my issue that would be great.

Not trying to justify raging & whinning, but all you people that always throw up the "It's an ALPHA!!" did you even play this mod in late april when it was released? Game was tons more enjoyable (especially when that patch that released massive hordes everywhere) the only major issue I could complain about back then was no direct chat. With the release of each patch the mod would get completely fucked for some and fine for others(like myself no real issues) so walk in some one else's shoes before being a cocksucker on the forum. And I mean this for ragers & ALPHA tosser's. Yes I know I've gotten pissed off at some hacker d-bags and snipers, But I also still enjoy this game. Remember to enjoy your stay here on Chernarus.

Games being released as an ALpha. Its still feeding off its early popularity. Give it time the hackers will chase people away in droves, alot of people are already leaving. The game won't have enough content to launch as a legit standalone anytime soon. Rocket can either release it and let people get bored of the game quickly due to lack of content or he can take his time working on it and watch a low pop of players come across to it. I feel pretty bad for ROcket tbh. Way too many douchebag hackers in this community that have ruined what would have been a great groundbreaking game.
