Nerf the zombies...

I got attacked by a zombie it was night time the zombie was 15m away and i was crawling what the fuck 0/4 on sound 0/4 visibility and the zombie runs 90000 mp/h and hits me once and makes me bleed and now i need to find painkillers what the fuck why are the zombies so annoying those glitchy pieces of shit...

Give it time and you will be wondering why they are even in the game at all as they pose no threat.

They don't need a nerf, they need to be made harder, and a lot more of them

I like them as they are now, especially since they don't zig-zag/teleport as much when attacking you.

you should really fear those z's, and not try to crawl by in 15m distance. i would'nt be surprised if they will be made much harder / terrifying in the standalone game.

I think dayz might even be better with no zombies zombies are suppose to be stupid they should not be able to find you with 0/4 in sound and visibility what is the point of the when then running is better then crawling to get away from zombies because they still find you it's ridicules. Zombies does not play part off any thing besides looting the game is about pvp not players vs zombies.

Must be a bug. I always play at night I can crawl 1 meter beside the Zeds and if Im still Zeds kan even walk over me and push me not seeing me so no! No nerfing. I sucked at this game in the beginning. Have no experience in FPS either but you just need to learn the game and to understand this is an Alpha. I broke both my legs, lost 6000 in blood and pain when I crawled under a pine tree yesterday and I laughed. Ok a bit disapointinf but to survive the airfield alone and then this happens. It's an alpha and I won't give up.

I can't understand what you people do. Zeds are not the threat, survivors are. If I can sneek in the airfield loaded with zeds during the night then you can also.

Oh yes lets remove Zeds, make this into a battleground instead. So fucking tired of people who wants to change this game into a game we have loads of. <_<

In my opinion the zombie aggro range should be reduced in crawling

But the zombie damage / hp / count should be buffed

Its ridiculous that you can survive a group of >50 Zombies as long as you are inside a large house and kite them....

In my opinion there should really be different kinds of zombies. About the amount of "normal" slow ones as it is atm. They shouldn´t be able to follow you at all when you run. These could be much more then, to produce a real crowd of them. And then there might be some higher tier Zombies, wich might be fast, more damage, etc...

But I think all this is already planned for the standalone and would have been done in the alpha, if the engine provided the necessary base objects.

1.7.2.5 - this update slows down the zombies. no more Usain Bolt undead sprinting circles around you. that said, they're now too easy to lose. simply running around a building once or behind a tree stops them. there was a time back in june where i was chased for twenty minutes through the wilderness trying to lose these undead bastards, now it's like I can still behind a tree and they simply forget why they were running to begin with.

We actually need double or triple the numbers than there are in the current version. Not all spawning, also some that are always there.

This sounds like a recent-player gripe. If you would have been through previous updates you would know the infected (not technically zombies) have been worst.

Firstly, with 0/4 sight at 15m with the Z facing you in moonlight will allow them to see you if you are crouched.

Secondly, you seem to be raging because you got hit and need pain killers/lost blood, and complain the Z's are glitchy.

Well, the Z's have ALWAYS been glitchy, if you had been playing for long enough you would have accepted this by now.

Why should zombies act in a black and white fashion, why can't the occasional Z catch you off guard?

Having all Z's act/react in the exact same way would make the game feel mechanical, I think unpredicatability is much better.

The zombies are broken due to pathing issues.

For example, the zeds don't run in houses.THIS IS A GAME BREAKING MISTAKE. Gladly, Rocket has stated that this carpet based speed-nerf will be fixed in the standalone. I REALLY hope he sticks to that and doesn't let this forum cry at him til he caters to the QQ'ers.

The zombies need to be a deadly threat. They aren't in DAYZ:MOD because of issues with the parent engine/code and players crying that they get in the way of their PVP, in a zombie game. Bunch of crazy murderous bastards.

Zombies are more of a nuisance to me as opposed to being a legitimate lethal threat.

On a scale of 1-10, - with 10 being the monsters from Amnesia: The Dark Descent and 1 being the goombas from Mario Bros. - I would rate the zombies in DayZ with a 2 in terms of their threat level.

at best all you can say is that a Zombie "probably" wont see you, you're completely miss guided if you think because either of those indicators are at zero you are safe, word to the wise.. you're not. gotta watch for those Z's aggroing in the distance as well, be alert, always ready to sprint..

I personally like the fact that they are glitchy and random. Makes it a tad more realistic that while yes 8/10 times a strategy will work, but those last 2 times your gonna get a Zombie from 100m away to perk up RUN and just bash your brains in. Bleed you in one hit, break your bones at 12k blood, and basically Fuck Up your day.

Adds a certain ambiance that i have grown to love.

how i hate it when people come to a new game which is different, and then try do CHANGE the game so it's like every other out there, yet they claim "DAYZ IS SO COOL AND DIFFERENT!". stop pretending the game should be like you want it to. the game is like the developer (rocket; he must be a fucking cool guy!) wanted it to be, and guess what? it's fucking great.
