How long ago did you stop playing?

I decided to take a break from DayZ 3 weeks ago due to too much combat logging and desync kills (I'm fine one minute, then red chain appears the same time as things zip around my screen and I end up dead.).

Sounds like I picked a good time, hearing alot of people are fed up over the last few weeks. So I'm actually just curious to see how many are persevering, and how many gave up and for what reasons.

I'm not saying that I am giving up on the game, quite the contrary, I'm just waiting for things to settle down a bit. I'm still watching all the updates, paying attention to the forums etc. I love this game, but I don't like what other people are doing to it.

Looking forward to seeing development of the standalone.

I'm actually going to jump into a few servers tonight to try and see if the hacking is a rife as everyone is saying. But I still consider myself to be on hiatus from DayZ, probably won't start playing properly till the standalone alpha is out.

This has actually given me more faith in the playerbase than I was expecting.

Yeah sure, mostly active players are going to be watching the forums but I thought there'd be more people in my boat despite that.

Just goes to show how strong this game has affected people. Good show.

It's heartbreaking to see all the cheating going on, but I still can't peel myself away from the game.

Still playing, because all i do is run around cherno/electro with whatever I can find, killing whoever I see.

Because

• I find it gets boring up north, you will either die from a hacker, die from a sniper or just get bored (more often the case for me).
  
• Its more fun looting and 'ramboing' around the city and owning the rooftop snipers.
  
• I can get fully geared in an hour, at most. By just killing the 'noobsnipers' who are usually loaded to the everything.
