We want a Bandit Bandana instead of towel

Recommended Posts

Ok, I want to make this perfectly clear.

Wearing a keffiyeh does not make someone a terrorist. You can either stop this ignorant racist idiocy, or I can start handing out warnings. Which will it be?

Sorry to say you this Max planck, but Prez didn't said anything that can be assimilated to racism.

If I want to go further, I think you consider terrorism as a "racism thread", makes it seem this is a skin color/religion question (this is the real root of racism).

In this case, you are the ignorant.

Please don't denounce racism where there is not.

If I want to go further, I think you believe that terrorists are only arabs people wearing keffiyeh (nobody said this, but you seems to believe it).

You are calling a keffiyeh a 'Taliban towel'.

Prez is equating middle eastern people with terrorists.

It stops now.

Sorry, but that kind of contradicts itself because the game dictates that when you kill people, you become a bandit. When you are a bandit, you are forced to wear a keffiyeh which is primarily Middle Eastern clothing. Which if you use deductive reasoning: Kill others Bandit Middle Eastern

So we can assume that when you kill someone, then you are Middle Eastern. When you associate killing people and Middle Eastern people together, one is drawn to the assumption of terrorists "those people"..

I'm just stating that this game, with the re-addition of bandit skins, is showing that when you kill people, you automatically are forced to dress in this exact manner and you the player can't change that. The bandit skins are being racist IMO because it shows that people that kill people wear keffiyehs and people that wear keffiyehs are primarily Middle Eastern.

Although I don't support the bandit idea of getting the bandit skin just for killing players, I think that you should be able to at least have the choice of wearing them. For example, the same way you find ghillie suits, civilian clothing and camo clothing. Maybe make a skin for bandits?

Exactly!!

Everyday TV/media tell us that bad people are in middle east. In DayZ you win a middle east dress when you murder people (remember that man is a very "visual" animal).

Seriously, what kind of reaction did you expect ?

And in your mind the deductive reasoning went like this: Kill others Bandit Middle Eastern → Terrorist

Not cool.

So we can assume that when you kill someone, then you are Middle Eastern. When you associate killing people and Middle Eastern people together, one is drawn to the assumption of terrorists "those people"..

We can assume that when you kill someone, you hide your face with a middle eastern style scarf. Associating that with terrorism is all your own doing, not a general assumption.

Agree, I have no idea what went through Rocket's head when he came up with those skins. The first thing I thought was "Oh no, the forums!"

But stop with the keffiyeh = terrorist thing, seriously.

I don't know what I expected, but I hoped for something other than 'taliban towel'.

@Max Planck: I think Rocket just wanted to make things quick.

"Need a subtle bandit skin? I Have not the time to look for a good one, let's just put the towel that mask the original bandit's head."

@Harun Danyal: Sorry just visual facts. Are you hypocrite (serious question) ?

It is okay big guy, after reading over how you respond to criticism, and how you love to remain ignorant despite everyone correcting you, it is clear to me you are just a stereotypical prejudice douchebag. I get you, and that makes it easier to not take anything you say seriously. But just for laughs...

@Harun Danyal, Your BANDIT IN DAYZ skin is wrong. Please update your knowledge database.

Oh, and one more thing, no one cares how you name it, towel is still more revelant.

It's like I've said: "look a car", and you answer me "hahaha you're so ignorant! this is a volskwagen!".

Next.

Insisting on calling it a towel will obviously further your cause.

I dont think it should be forced but that bandana does look pretty cool although a camo balaclava would be better.

@Lord Sloth Yes balaclava is a good idea too!

By the way, I think bandana is better cause it fits with survivor/camo and ghillie suit. Balaclava can't do this.
