jdotjdot7 6 Posted August 7, 2012 I swear, at least once an hour we will fight either someone who is invincible to any gunshots, someone who is teleporting, someone who spawns several vehicles or guns. In US 777 5 minutes ago, a player named Danny in a soldier uniform and a helmet teleported to my friend and shot him, im walking and look behind me and hes there too with a constant sound of someone fixing a car or removing a hedgehog. He shoots me after talking in chat then teleports to another one of my group and is kinda running around him now telling him to visit his "camp."Come on, get a better Anti-Hack detection *cough* VAC *cough*

SmashT 10907 Posted August 7, 2012 Vac would be just as useless, the anti cheat isn't the problem, the ArmA engine was designed to allow scripts on purpose, can't be changed until standalone
Ashnik 113 Posted August 7, 2012 VAC isn't all that great either you know, but it's because Arma 2 is an old game and there were many many hackers before DayZ. So all they did was change the script up a little bit so it worked for DayZ. They use to spawn crates and cars in like Deathmatch on Arma 2.
jdotjdot7 6 Posted August 7, 2012 So basically hacking this game is easy and it will be what kills the game just like it did to Combat Arms? D:
Ashnik 113 Posted August 7, 2012 Yep, By the way External hacks can easily bypass VAC so VAC isn't all that great either sorry.
SmashT 10907 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) So basically hacking this game is easy and it will be what kills the game just like it did to Combat Arms? D:Its going standalone this year, at which time they can modify the engine as it will no longer be tied to ArmA Edited August 7, 2012 by smasht_AU
Womb Raider 92 Posted August 7, 2012 Am I the only one who has noticed the dramatic spike in hackers as of 1.7.2.4Yes, clearly no-one else is aware of this issue. Clearly the multiple threads that get posted daily about the same issue are unaware.

I did however see much hackers in games like MW3
Ashnik 113 Posted August 7, 2012 Yeah but I have yet to see a hacker in a VAC game because of the fear that once you are banned from one you are banned from ALL VAC games. I did however see much hackers in games like MW3VAC is just way more harsh than other anti hack programs.

Womb Raider 92 Posted August 7, 2012 Can we make a giant banner in the front of the forums that says this? What's the point. There's stickies telling people to think and search before they post but they still post ideas and things before have seen before. There's no point in trying to get people to make sense on the Day Z forums nor use the search function.
Mr Radar 5 Posted August 7, 2012 Yeah but I have yet to see a hacker in a VAC game because of the fear that once you are banned from one you are banned from ALL VAC games. I did however see much hackers in games like MW3Vac can be hacked as well. Difference is, games like tf2 and CS have admins with actual banning capabilities. In most games you can find a few good servers with good admins and just play on those every time.

switch296 20 Posted August 7, 2012 Hacking is ridiculous at the moment, impossible to play for more than few hours without losing your character to nukes/teleporting/thunderdoming/etcFeels pretty pointless to play at the moment.
jdotjdot7 6 Posted August 7, 2012 Yeah, i have no problems losing my gear, M107 NVGs Range Finder who cares I'll find them again. But losing them to a hacker is just wrong.
