Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 6, 2012 That's good news as I see it. Maybe they're getting ready to take it to another level? Sweet.
Gustav Mahler 40 Posted August 6, 2012 And....? The end of the beginning comes just before the beginning of the middle and just after the middle of the beginning. Whats your point?
random51 172 Posted August 6, 2012 If it is the end of the beginning then it must also be the beginning of the end. Doom!
Erik (DayZ) 61 Posted August 6, 2012 Intresting news, can't wait for the official anouncement.
FVin 4 Posted August 6, 2012 Well, it sounds like that after the next patch they're going to be focusing on the standalone product release. He said September would be on the early side, but could realistically see it coming out not too long after that (and before the end of the year). So, I would guess that the end of DayZ as a mod is maybe 2+ months away.
Swineflew 480 Posted August 6, 2012 Sounds like good news to me.
thehumandove 344 Posted August 6, 2012 I'm skeptical if that's really the way Filip spells his name, tbh
Jony_RocketInMyPocket 172 Posted August 6, 2012 Come on Rocket, fix the ARTIFACTING already. Should have had a hotfix like a week ago.
wordplayuk@gmail.com 101 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) he's inspired by the million players referring to a transition the game is taking, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a beta coming soon. Edited August 6, 2012 by Criminal
grizzle 21 Posted August 6, 2012 Clearly a sign he intends to remove PvP from the game.

Michaelvoodoo25 3120 Posted August 6, 2012 It won't surprise me if DayZ goes dead until final release. Dev team will want to close test it.
vitdom 56 Posted August 6, 2012 What Rocket means is that the current game(the beginning of DayZ) will end, as in a total restart, once the next update comes out.
tacticaljim 28 Posted August 6, 2012 I don't want to see a standalone out until after arma3 release otherwise the standalone will probably be on the arma2 engine.
