Persason 15 Posted August 6, 2012 I don't mind the patch being late but the communication needs to be in place. I haven't heard the devs say anything about the upcoming essential patch. As of now DayZ is unplayable due to the graphical glitch. If the developers could just say that "We are working on it" "Going to release it soon" or something it would be nice :)Has anyone heard anything?

chipdemon@yahoo.com 57 Posted August 6, 2012 I think Rocket went silent after the rabble turned his update thread into a pile of piss and vomit. Cant really say that I blame him, can you?Fear not though, he is still around and no doubt working on the next patch, which will hopefully have tons of fixes and improvements.
wombraider 20 Posted August 6, 2012 When in game try changing the video memory to high then back to default, it sometimes resolves the graphical issues. No word has been posted in reference to 1.7.2.5 but they are working hard on it for sure. Hopefully the trick will help with the issues until it is updated to 1.7.2.5
Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted August 6, 2012 You shouldn't be so entitled to getting patches.Just saying.
Nexus545 13 Posted August 6, 2012 I understand taking time to refine and perfect a patch is a nice idea but I prefer lots of little patches keeping the game fresh.
badbadrobot 36 Posted August 6, 2012 Development work takes time. Be patient, let them do it right.http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/52196-pending-update-build-1725/
Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted August 6, 2012 I understand taking time to refine and perfect a patch is a nice idea but I prefer lots of little patches keeping the game fresh. But frankly, it's Rocket's mod, and he decides the patch releases, not us. joni.kahkis@luukku.com 0 Posted August 6, 2012 In an interview few days back Rocket said that it'll be a bigger patch, and not just a small fix, so it's going to take longer.
geegee (DayZ) 5 Posted August 6, 2012 Just bothers me why they can't simply remove the broken textures out of the map until they get to fixing it...
DieBrotmafia 79 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Would be cool if there would be some transparent communication about how things are going. I mean this is happening (look at 1.7.2.5 thread) but now its a week or so since I last heard about something. Some time ago I thought yes its Rockets mod, its free, he doesn't owe us anything. But after all, I guess Rocket ultimately will want to make this a standalone game and make some money with it, at least thats what I would do. He needs us as alpha testers as well as we need him to develop the game, so I feel that as we report bugs, he should try to give us something about the current state of the game. 5 days over the target date without a quick message isn't really nice to the community, I'd like to know if and when this game will improve and how things are going if I'm about to invest my time in it as well.
