Being bad just easy mode?

I maybe play for short time, but dont you think guys that be "bad" in this game is to easy? For any reason, just to be jerk who like to annoy people, someone who like to play bandit from roleplay style, or shooting strangers just in case so they dont shoot you. Id like to see some sort of consequence of playing "bad". Because now such style is just easy mode, and most hard mode is being simple dude who like to feel post-apocaliptic survivors search and organizing with them - something more than inviting to game know by you players.

One idea who drop me in mind: inherited karma after "reincarnation". Ofc its nothing connected with reality, but simple game mechanic. That someone "soul" who do bad things will be inherited on every other "reincarnation" of player. So if he play as bad, he is marked as bad to end and looks like bandit on every character he "reborn". Simple, and propably easy to made of consequence to being bad. To reality someone just look "suspicious" and behave strange.

there is no easy mode, just people that haven't survived long enough to realize there might be lots of ways to play but there is only one way to stay alive in DayZ

So its just easy mode, if this give you bigger chance to survive and there is no consequence of being this bad. In most games being bad now is like carebear play. :P

Hello there

It's a shorter path to leetdom if you just kill someone who has done the hard work collecting gear.

Once more mechanics such as base building etc are in game the pure PVP on any and everyone will lessen to a degree.

And why you supouse to claim its PvP game? Its survival game, with some sandbox - its not pure PvP gameplay. But had to be some sort of PvP as emotions. But PvP is just rule now, kill everything you see. If someone want play pure PvP let he just start CoD or pure ArmA 2 multiplayer. In survivor sandbox games its nice to see some consequence of being bad. And my idea is not so hard to hardcode I think. Something like "check kills" = "he was bad" = "mark him as bandit at start".

This game have strong potential, so dont push it to simple PvP because its just a waste of good material for sandbox zombie survival game what people wait for years. For now there is no any alternative, Project Zomboid - but its solo only. I dont say to prohibit PvP or any stronger consequences. Its simple marking player, so survival players will just avoid such people or to shoot at sight.

Like always no arguments only pushing all to QQ or carebearing. In such answers you only QQ and carebearing shaking ass and afraid of changes, because your gameplay is to easy now.

Bandit skins have been tried and removed, I personally don't mind permanent scars appearing on my characters face etc but in general people don't seem to want this. Either way is fine by me, but the idea that it's too easy or easier to play this way is what I'm tired of hearing. At the moment there is no end game, and while I don't go around killing absolutely everyone I see it only makes it harder that others do. There is no escaping death whether your a bandit or not, it's just that the bandits suck it up and get on with it. I can respect that that more.

Bandit skins are coming back anyway, it was not removed pernamently. I dont cry that are bandits in game - its part of the game. But let the being bad have its consequence, let this bandits and bad guys dont afraid of being bad, let the be tought players who already know the game like own pocket. Not some saturday shooters who find a gun and "whoh now i shoot this guy other there who run away from zombies lol". Any of bandit idea dont lower your gameplay, you will get only higher challange so you dont must complain that game is to easy.

Your English is terrible just so you know. It's pretty hard to understand.

Also you clearly haven't played DayZ long enough. It is not a friendly game. You want to play in a group? go make some real friends.

This game Doesn't have an EASY mode that says shoot everyone you see, it has a suicide mode saying DON'T shoot everyone you see. what im saying is, being a nice guy isnt any more difficult that being a bandit, it is impossible, because you will be shot.

You want to know what the down side is to being a bandit? EVERYONE ELSE is a bandit, and will shoot you on sight. there is your answer as simply as i can give it to you.

You only keep repeating things who only say I have right. If playing "bad" is more easy, because you have advance in shoot first and dont bother in talk this mean this gameplay is for carebears. Easy friendly mode, and being good is hard job. And should be diffrent, where bad players are elite of elite, true masters of game and dont afraid challange. And I only hear how bandits will have worse because cant freely shoot anything. Poor bandits, maybe lolipop?

As stated it's already been tried, but humanity is still there and it still carries over.

As it seems bandit scarf, the shemagh will be introduced, as a bandit skin lite. So.

Maby make a wostwanted list with names and when you log in a server it gives you the servers top10 most wanted bandits ......ppl can hunt them :P

A 'karma' system is the best idea. If you keep killing people, you your appearance changes and you are more easily identifiable as a murderer.

The game could offer you the chance to reverse your bad karma by giving pain killers, morphine, blood bags...or even giving ammo, weapons, meat and other items to other survivors...

Such way will be easy to abuse, by team bandit groups who will reduce they karma exchanging between themself. For me should be just perm bandit status, or with some longer time to reduce karma for example you kill 3 man you change into bandit. Than you die as bandit - you reborn as bandit. And one kill from status will be erase after 24h for example. So if you just bad ass camper who hunt down 10 poor survivors you will have wait 8 days to lose bandit status (untill you reach below 3 kills). Simple and easy, for now the only advance of bandits is that they shoot first without questions. So survivors will have equal chance to shoot them same without questioning. And this saturday killers afraid most.

Until bandit skins are returned and weapon damage gets flattened to something more realistic, banditry is logically the easiest way to play the game. I addressed it in this post here. But I'll repeat it since it's not complicated.

  • If two equally-matched bandits meet, whoever shoots first gets the other's loot.
  • If an equally-matched bandit and survivor meet, the bandit always shoots first so he always gets the loot.
  • If equally-matched survivors meet, neither one will shoot. No one gets extra loot.

So bandits have a 3 in 4 chance of killing the next person they meet and taking all of their loot. Their survival is equal to their loot chances. Survivors only have a 2 in 4 chance of even surviving the next person they meet and there is absolutely no guarantee of improving their loot at all. So it is actually more likely that a bandit will walk away from an encounter with loot than a survivor will walk away with their life.

But don't think that this is a proper PvP game, though. In a game where everyone is a bandit, a bandit's survival rate is only 2 in 4. And a bandit's survival rate if all bandits are identifiable? Also 2 in 4.

Bandits are vehemently against identification because it makes the odds equal to if everyone were a bandit. They don't want a fully PvP server, what they want is a server where they are more likely to be able to shoot you before you can shoot them. They don't want a challenge, they want PK'ers to have a big advantage over non-PK'ers. And that only works if PK'ers are allowed to pretend that they don't.
