It doesn't bleed through solid walls as much as the standard one does. Basically, it's harder for other players to see you.

And you can point at a guy with NVG without him being blinded . Usefull when going on night raid with your team. and you are the only one not wearing NVG

I hear you can pin the military flashlight to your shoulder too so that it doesn't take up a secondary slot. Haven't tested it though.

As far as I've seen, zombies don't actually see flashlights at all. I've shone them right in their faces before.

Chemlights and flares are like bath salts to them, though.
