Running Speed

So 2 friends and I normally run to places as you do, only problem is that for some reason i'm faster than both of them - by a lot - I'm at the front my other friend is in the middle and my last friend is always trailing way far back. We have no idea why we have different paces. It's not based on ping or desync. It's annoying because I have to wait until they both catch up to me even though they are double tapping W (Although I heard Double tapping W doesn't even do much) and i'm just holding W.

This boggles my mind - Anyone have any reasonable explanation why i'm faster than my friends?

FPS lag affects running speed directly - the slower their frame rate is, the slower they run.

Also I think some weaponry may have an effect on running speed, though I'm not sure of this.

Yep, I was having major FPS issue while running with a friend and he out paced me like an Olympic Kenyan.

What weapon you have out seems to play a role. My friend and I noticed that I run faster than him with an assault rifle out, but slower if I draw my pistol.

For the record, I had an M4 and he an AKM

I've heard that it depends on your FPS, you can run faster simply by looking at the sky so you get higher FPS, haven't tested it myself though.

Double tapping "w" does make you run significantly faster than one who is merely holding it in.

Although, I think weight is a factor.

Having your weapon raised or lowered can effect it too.
