1.7.2.5 still no sign from Dev-Team

I was contemplating making a similar thread. I think Rocket shouldn't bother with "Target Dates".

The point was to get across that the thread containing the information was locked 55 hours ago. Locked. That's why there's no update on it, and i'm only complaining since the game is unplayable until it's released.

But it's not unplayable. Many people are playing it. Many people are not having the same issues you're having.

Anyway, hope your problems get fixed. I can imagine how annoying they are

LOL. I was having framerate problems myself until a friend pointed out the video memory thing, I know how you feel man.

Another tip I can give you is to go to your user folder in Windows and look for \Documents\ArmA 2\ArmA2OA.cfg, if you open that with notepad and look for the following commands you should change them to read as follows:

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

By default they might be set to something like 1000 and it's pointless.

Also, editing the \Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\profile name\profilename.ArmA2OAProfile to read as follows might help too:

sceneComplexity=1000000;

The game is playable for me. I get graphical issues in a few parts of the map. Solution? Don't go to those areas.

I would rather wait two more weeks for a patch that properly fixes the issues rather than a rushed patch that creates more.

funny because I only had the artifacting after the last update and even with that bug it only happens once in a while. So if you've had this for a couple of months then there is something else going on with your system.

This guys speaks the truth. It is your hardware. I have artifacting right now because of 1.7.2.4 and, I have never had it before on DayZ (...or this system). I do hope 1.7.2.5 is pushed out today... ;)

Nope, but thanks. Already looked into it. I build, program, and maintain computers on a daily basis. I've inspected all my hardware very heavily. It's not my hardware. I hope people read this.

I read yesterday in here a post about the American army needing a new simulator! Perhaps some things are on the back burner?

It wouldn't be the first time a company has put updates and the like on hold with an emphasis on a newer rushed product, but let's face it the better DayZ gets the more complex tinkering with it it gets. I'd sooner they get it right than a mistake release and more issues down the road.

OP show some patience! I'm sure they are hard at work!

hacking is a problem with the GAME not the MOD. Take any complaints about hacking to battleye or bohemia because rocket can't do anything about it...good god.

one more thing , don't rush the man , it will be done when its done and he has no obligation to continually post here answering silly questions when he could be working.

You can't say that about free-to-play MMO's. DayZ has built a community of near 1 million players, and weather or not we paid, if there's demand, there's a debt. I'm not demanding anything from the dev team, I'm simply saying their communication is low, and their product is high, that's mostly good. Your immatation of me complaining about my money badly spent and full-caps rage is wrong.

The engine it'self is actually really good, really mod-welcome, and friendly to developers. The engine's security is a different story, it's a good engine.

heh well if the 1 million people testing the ALPHA can't wait a couple of days for a major bug fix for a totally free game, maybe they should go away and come back when the final game is released?

i mean wtf.... were the alpha WOW testers whining to the devs to fix bugs when a patch was 1 day too late?

i think rocket's mistake was saying "patch expected on wed 1st aug (gmt)", don't give a time/date - people will be more patient that way if it has to be delayed (almost inevitible)

I understand the viewpoint from a dev's perspective when making mods, but it isn't up to par in my opinion to today's engines. It has a lot of things but it also lacks a lot. Not to mention all the bugs it has, clipping issues, well just a lot of issues I don't feel like listing them all.

the artifacts make the game totally unplayable for me, but since i didn't give the devs a penny i will suck it up and wait for them to release a fix.

Dear Rocket & Team;

I love what you've done with DayZ and appreciate so very much; every second and every penny you've spent on it - please keep up the hard work.

The graphic bug is a complete breaker for me at the moment but it doesn't take away anything from what you've already done for this ALPHA and it's community.

A fix will be so much appreciated so we can carry on to test and enjoy this mod to its true potential.
