We try to respawn until we are at least a decent distance away ( quarter of the map away ). Now we spawn all the way across the map from each other and we don't have time to play 3-4 hours to group up, and THEN try to start the actual game. We all have full time jobs and families and don't have the time to invest into this game without the respawn button. So, bye guys! Nice playing with you all. So that works for the people who are turned into cows, thrown off the map, or starts on the very edge of the map so they have to run 30 minutes to get to a zombie? I was started on the EDGE of the map. I have been running 20+ minutes just to find a zombie to kill me, and guess what? Now I have to get off to work. peacekeep3r 0 Posted July 28, 2012 i agree with all of you.they want to reduce the server load but it failed.people are still dieing now as often as before (!!), it just takes alot longer to spawn in the right spot. makes gameplay really boring and its damn hard to meet friends. No need to be sorry, 'cause I got friends :) The only difference seems to be that me and my friends have a whole lotta fun finding each other when we spawn in different parts of the map and don't respawn 20 times just to spawn next to each other. evolution (DayZ) 51 Posted July 28, 2012 I think the respawn button should be brought back, but can only be used(pressed) every 5 or 10 minutes.This is long enough to prevent suicides and still allows for a respawn if, you are glitched or hacked(as mentioned above). The problem is that we both have full time jobs, kids, and wives that like to have their husbands at bed time, if you know what I mean. So we get 2-3 hours max to play each night. We like to play with our group. We don't gank, we just try to have a good time with each other. We don't respawn hundreds of times, the most we have ever had to respawn was 3 times. That's it. We just want to be able to get into the game, play with each other a couple hours, and log out. I also have a fulltime job, wife and kid. So your time is NOT more limited than mine. And I might be older than you, so a little more respect, please :)I can totally understand micdawg12 and nofy12, but this is DayZ and DayZ is different from other games. I don't want to sound rude, but if you don't have the time to play DayZ the way the creator wants it to be played, go play Left4Dead2 or All Zombies Must Die! - more suitable for casual players like you seem to be. My friends and I usually played some hours on our own, got stuff together, got to know the map etc. and when we found we were "ready", we discussed where to meet roughly and as I said, had a lot of fun getting there. Now stop bitching about it, I'd be complaining about the reduced weapon damage instead of something which could've used a good fix and got one. They disabled it because people were accidentally pressing it and losing all their gear, the unable to be chosen spawn point is just a side effect, which I personally don't mind, there's three deer stands near Kamenka, the worst spawn I could think of is the Three Valleys spawn point, but even that's not so bad.If you get teleported or transformed or sent into limbo, just wait to starve, tab out and watch something it doesn't matter. I'm seriously beginning to wonder how many people on this forum log on and instantly post a thread without even looking it up. Plus, you don't even consider both sides, as far as you're concerned, it doesn't benefit you directly so it is a terrible terrible thing. Grow up a little and think before you do. L0G!N (DayZ) 149 Posted July 28, 2012 I don't get the 'whining' of mature people in here, so what would you actually do if a friend would spawn right near you, you would just give him his stuff back and keep killing players in cherno? ... i play with 2 friends and we have a couple of hours as well, it hardly ever happens that we all die the same time ... so IF somebody dies we just go and get him, person spawns and finds the nearest village to determain position, the survivors already know where they are (most of the time). So we move in eachothers direction, rescue and extract missions are fun, you actually get to places you wouldn't normally go to, and these missions can be a lot of fun... recently one of us died, and as he was trying to grab some stuff to get to us he got injured badly! 3000HP passing out etc. it was great fun to hear his relieve as a found some food and drinks in a barn to not die again... me and my other friend ran over 80miles crosscountry to go and find him, on our way hoping to find bikes or a car to speed up our rescue attempt, to no avail... when we finally found him he was overjoyed, we healed him up, and shared supplies 'we' picked up along the way. Then we made our way back to our 'home region' and on our way back we found a repaired truck in the middle of nowhere! Which obviously made us ride home instead of walk all the way...To me, that whole mission was exactly PLAYING THE GAME! ...Another thing we did was set a home region for ourselves, so if people die when playing alone, or die near the end of our session, they know where 'abouts' we are, they can make their way back there on their own time or depending on time we go get him. It works just fine if atleast everybody sticks to the plan ... so realy, if you want to play the game, then play the damned game how it is and work with it instead of 'whining' like a lil kid that just can't have it's cake and eat it ... you should be mature enough by now to deal with these things, if not, then (and i hate this phraze in most cases) perhaps this game is not for you and your friends. Battle field has a 'spawn on leader' team function, and rounds are fairly short, if you only have limited time perhaps that is a better game to play with likewise friends... 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
