public servers are dime a dozen and its really simple to host a server im sure i could host a server or use my clans server

do you only have skype? i really really really prefer Teamspeak when gaming...

... theres a tutorial?.. you want to know how i learned to play dayz? ran in random directions seeing what i come across. reading the controls in the options (though alot can be ignored) then eveuntally after getting the basics down i joined a clan. then got even better now im a strong survivior running around and i have a poster size map of the dayz world on the wall above my desk :3 just try to have fun and dont rage if you get killed... you will die... ALOT . and if you need a friend theres plenty around here but dont be too trusting in game. you never know who might shoot you in the back... or the face. give or take the situation also welcome to the fourms and dayz

its been annouced that the standalone will have a minecraft like release meaning there will be an alpha at a very low cost (no offical word on what prices will be but id guess 10-20$) then at beta the price will go up and then at offical release it will go to its final price

the temp icon is never changed colors for me its etiher looks okay or it starts blinking lol however i have notice there is some interface issues after the newest patch with the options to choose how you want your interface to look like i noticed when i have mine set to show debug my icons dont work they will always show at whatever state they where when i set the option to debug so for example set it to debug and itll stay green even if your bleeding or low on blood swtiching it back to default and the icons work again. im sure they will fix it in a upcoming patch but gotta keep in mind there now working on two diffrent projects so i think dev. will slow abit

1. i love your honesty and i like the point of this thread but i just wanna say the people who attacked you and yourself are cheaters. but thats all just techniciltys of terms. people have to start getting smart battle eye is really biting down on the problem and so even though the scripts are simple you have to avoid getting tempted or this may be you aswell. everyone should take comfort in know that even though a cheater might randomly kill you they will at a certin point get a global ban as well so OP thank you for your honesty im not here to flame you. I can understand your interest in how the scripts work. so you can always buy a new accoutn just try to remain strong and avoid cheating as at some point all the cheaters will get theres too

i love that gun lol but nice shooting you should have closed a couple of the doors though it looked like a couple of your shots hit the door instead of going out but nice video ^_^

thank you. and well i think that just stems from the fact the average user may not understand the diffrence which is okay im not here to call anyone stupid lol but many cheaters in just about every game is just some person who grabed cheats and trainers and such a real hacker sat and made. but no matter what you call these cheaters they do suck none the less XD though i did meet a scripter who after being killed instead of the normal rage and nuke everyone he just spawned some para cows and disconnected. though i think everyone should relax abit battle eye has really been starting to bite down it seems. though the biggest issue is in the arma 2 engine itself its just far to trusting and open i mean its all pretty much a sandbox the scripts are something already coded for arma. which the fact that these scripts are so simple is a good reason why cheating is so big. a quick google and a fourm post and your on your way to putting everyone on a roof and watching them kill themselves. so my hope is once everything goes standalone and rocket and co can finnaly start to work with the source code instead of being boxed into the limtations of a mod. i think this kinds of things will really fade away though im sure there will be a guy or two being smart with something like cheat engine. but who knows. all we can do is rage abit stick together and pray for the best Lol

well like i said are you using a host? if so who? do you have controll over all the server files how do you access the server? and if your intested in a server on your own pc what kind of pc do you have as it takes a pretty good computer to run a decent server

These Scripters (because im sorry they cannot be called hackers except for the guy that figured all the hex editing to allow the scripts to be ran he is a hacker but theses dumb kids running viurtually english scripts really there riduculicly simple) ..... i forgot my point... ....scripters suck.. *nods* that must be my point XD

are you using a host?.. if so i dont know how much control you have over the server however i run a private hive server right from my computer by myself and all i had to do was add the spawning info into the database and when i run it. itll tell me what it has spawned and once the max is reached it wont spawn more untill some are broken
