Horses.

Recommended Posts

So I was watching The Walking Dead and I saw he had a horse and was like "Damn that cat knows where da hoes at" so I watched some porn. I then saw the horse get eaten and went down and made me a burger. I came back and realized, "Wow I want a horse in DayZ" So I got my parents to buy me one and then I jammed it into my harddrive and put it in the arma 2 folder. How do I make it appear in game? Lol jk. But a horse that you can ride in dayz would be cool. like you could randomly find one in the stables or at a barn and then ride off into the distance like the black guy from old spice.

Very very weird description..but not a bad idea, have to let it stop and drink and feed it which is the equivelent of fixing and fuelling up your vehicle.

Not bad..although still presented..really weirdly

Like I always say, when the band is in town, solo with the skin flute.

A horse would add a lot more realism to the game but can the horse be consumable or is it for transportation uses only??

To be honest I thought of this like 5 mins ago. I think it can be used as both. For example, you can't feed your horse so you kill it for say.... 10 steaks (10 because they are to be semi rare)

How could you not be able to feed a horse... it eats hay. that shit is everywhere, and next best, let it stop and nibble some grass while u shoot some zeds. not a bad idea, nothing necessary as its not actually in ARMA, so it would take a long time to incorporate. i assume it wouldn't be much better than a bicycle, but requiring much more management. i see this as a mod ontop of DayZ maybe, as a kinda lolz (like Minecraft in l4d or skyrim). Nothing game changing, nothing necessary, but 1 in 10 players want the ability to shoot a guy and ride off into the night on their super loud, easy to stop horse.

+ 1 beans for the catching introduction aha.

heck if you ride in the forest with the horse it could actually be pretty good you wont get noticed.

If it has storage capacity in the saddle you could store items and it wont need repair as a bike only some time at a field or pond time to time.

Maybe it can avoid obstacles and jumps over fences to.

Also good introduction

ahhhh horses....i don't really see them to fit into this game. they wouldn't be much more than a neat alternative to vehicles, bikes and helos and therefore maybe far too time-consuming and complex to implement. but what do i know. reference: please RDR for the love of god

Lol, after playing RDR AC3 horses looked even more like a blob of bad texture and an anus.

Not to break it, but this has been suggested several times before.

i think it should be just like a regular dayz players character. like not like u find them and ur like oh shit. im missin a horse shoe. i need parts. no fuck that lol. i think it should be like u find them and u need to feed them and like how u can freeze they should be able to too. and they should be able to die and be bandaged and given like painkillers and stuff like that. my only concern, how will they not starve when u leave the server? lol

Horses can graze silly.

They eat grass, however they prefer hay and such.

Maybe you can gain their trust with a good handful of hay while you fit em with a saddle.

Riding bareback (lul) should have some negative effect, much like having broken shoes causes injury.
