SVD camo

So I've been trucking this SVD Camo around in my pack for a while now. I found it with no bullet holders

I'm not sure I want to get into the player killing business by hiding and killing people unseen.

Kind of a waste, should I even keep it?

Or, conversely, should I try to find those magazines and see what's what?

dude if you don't want it, i'll gladly take it off your hands. what would you trade for it. i just want it for ease of ranging on the fly and to complete my ghille stealth look, not normally a murderer, but i do overwatch my teammates a lot.

Likewise, I'll happily trade you for it. You only find the ammo for it in ammo boxes...which are very rare.

yeah keep it, handy for even a 'friendly' player, getting into towns and out again without making a sound is worth its weight in beans!

if youre after the ammo, it only spawns in the 7.62 ammo tins, the ones with 10 DMR 10 M24 and 10 SVD.

I think that gun looks reallly kewl! but i gave my last one away, cause ammo is a bit o a hassel for it.

I had the ghillie suit before the dark times. I was lucky, though, and spawned in and didn't lose my gear.... Except the suit :(

So I guess I'll hang onto it for a bit and try to hit those barracks buildings a lot.

Think you can only get ammo for it from heli crash sites and barracks, but if you find an ammo crate at either of those, you should find 10 mags for it.

The ranging guide in the scope itself can be a very powerful tool outside of a regular server (ie, one without scrollwheel ranging).

Kinda silly that the gun is so rare and then the ammo for it is also rare.They should put in the normal SVD and make ammo commonplace as that weapon is very common and an excellent addition to the arsenal.

Well in DayZ you just need to find the original weapon with 1 mag and u can duplicate unlimited amounts of it. So i suggest u find 1 mag, and dupe it and kick some ass.

I've found ammo boxes up...

Two separate occasions...

They where the 7.62 boxes...

Both times they had around 10 SVD mags in them...

Hmm i found 5 mags for it in a ammo box in NWAF barracks, but i didnt pick up the ammo since i ofc dont have the guns ;/ i could have given them to you but man i dont remember the server name and i kinda would guess someone already picked them up.. but i dont know man, only seen the ammo for it that one time today ever. so maybe just store it in a tent on your favorite server till you find some ammo.

This is one baby I have never fired.

I always found one in camp sites, never any ammo. But keep your ear to the forums as many people trade Gucci kit for them!
