Elpis Host - $30/month for 40 slots - BEC/Anti-Hax - Unrivaled Quality

Recommended Posts

We have the official dayz_server.pbo file but we are unfortunately not allowed to modify it for you. Once DayZ has released a official fix the option will become available in the mod installer.

Sorry, not entirely clear on the .pbo files. You said you are not allowed to modify the server.pbo as a hosting provider, but do we as admins have access to modify this file or is it locked down to us as well?

No one is allowed to edit the .pbo files.

It's part of the DayZ rules.

With unmanaged do I get full ftp access, allowing me to upload beta patches and dayz builds myself or do I have to wait for you to put it in the upload manager?

DayZ patches and beta builds are added for you to the mod installer. You have full access to all files other then the DayZ, Hive and MPMissions folder. The server.cfg is also restricted but you can change most of the options from the configuration editor.

Loving my server so far after 3 weeks of use. Just rented a cheaper server because $50 a month was a bit much with some servers at $30 and less. But my god you get what you pay for. Other server hosts don't have anywhere near the options we do in the admin panel. Plus on one of the server hosts I tryed the server lagged with 15 people on the server :S

Can't recommend Elpis enough. Best Day Z servers so far.

1 hour ticket service my ass. more like 12 hours

1 hour ticket within SLA hours yes. We are human and have to sleep as well, if you can toss me your TicketID I can look into this further for you.

Note that if your ticket takes longer then one hour during SLA hours we do offer you an account credit when requested. If it was 12 hours you'd be looking at a 30% credit.

Any chance you could add the GMT offset to the timezone config? I haven't heard of half of these...

I can do that later on today. For now, you can use this as a reference point.

No big hurry.

How many choices are we supposed to have in that menu? I only see about dozen time zones but I wasn't sure if that was an arma limitation or maybe a browser issue on my end...

BEC support has been added to the mod installer. This should be considered experimental, but it does work. If you have any questions, please open up a ticket!

Just configured it, giving it a shot...

Might want to send people to http://ibattle.org/i...-and-configure/ before they start the server with it installed because it needs to be set up first! :)

One question I did have was setting up the scheduler... How do we know the server's local time? I'm assuming it's set up by the time selection under server config but just want to confirm. Our server is offset slightly (just 3 hours) so that we get a good spread of daytime and night time which means the scheduler has to be set up with the offset as well unless the server is using Central time or something else.

And for the record you guys are awesome... Excellent host, great performance even with a full server no lagging whatsoever.

Just an FYI, do not have an external link providing a download to BEC. The maker of the program who I talk to from time to time, as requested that no one provide a host for people to down from except his site only.

Local time is going to be the same as your timezone setting. :)

Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated!

I'm having trouble getting BEC to work properly, should I open a ticket?

Stop the server, uninstall and then reinstall. If it still gives you trouble, please open a ticket.

Thanks! A quick question, with the BEC scheduler, creating entities for specific times, do you us server time or in game time?

It's based on the timezone you select. Open up a ticket if you need further clarification and I'll be happy to help you out.

The BattlEye scripts (createvehicle/remoteexec/scripts) has been updated. I strongly recommend existing clients update via the updates tab - "BattlEye Scripts". Make sure your server is stopped prior to running this unless you know how to apply the new scripts over RCON.

The latest beta patch has also been added to the mod installer.
