CarloNord 29 Posted July 28, 2012 You do have to wonder why the good threads die and why we constantly get bombarded by crap.
3rdparty 229 Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) :') It makes me sad too, was gonna tidy this up a bit more at some point and give it a rebump after i do so.Tis a mixture 'tween peeps being put off by length of text, and a combined mixture of repetitive/trolling threads and their counter part Rocket Vanguard posters consistently rebumping them with condemning posts, as if they are doing anyone a favour :(Thank ye for the bump though, be cool if you could contribute more if ye have any thoughts on it after ive cleaned it up a bit XD Edited July 28, 2012 by 3rdParty
CarloNord 29 Posted July 28, 2012 Well, not really much else I can think of, it all seems pretty well covered :P
3rdparty 229 Posted July 28, 2012 XD if ye have got the time or generally interested, i did a similar themed topic for rural industry, http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/48022-control-rural-industry/Not as sexy and exciting im afraid XDBut its an attempt to open similar sandbox potentials for smaller groups or lone wolves who wish to engage in this type of objective too XD
3rdparty 229 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) Just another little bump XDRecently edited in Traps to defend bases, brutally undersourced and needs to be edited but would be nice to see if thee is any feedback. Also wish to add ideas from this thread which is worth a lil attention http://dayzmod.com/f...ends-mine-ideas Edited August 14, 2012 by 3rdParty

3rdparty 229 Posted August 17, 2012 Tbh ive taken a break from ze game and ze forums as the lateness of this reply might indicate, (returned from the best festival EVER [might be OTT] to a housemate whos spitroasted my power supply, so its not even voluntary)Its a bit upsetting sometimes when ye realise ye may of put too much info into a thread and either noone can think of what else to add or cannay be arsed reading. :(Ah well, tbh i was starting to tend more towards building that controlling rural thread, not as exciting as some of the stuff mentioned in this, but i like the possibility of adding foraging (with specific spawning fauna for diff locations) and botany. And taking that further to refining compounds in the hospital.
L0G!N (DayZ) 149 Posted August 17, 2012 Well you could see it this way, the thread now contains all the possible 'rebuilt society/old industry' people can think off, so it's a complete thread, all that is needed now is for Rocket to start implementing ;)Which i realy hope he will do because quite frankly, if we could do all this in game i don't realy long for underground construction (but *shhhh* don't tell Rocket!!)
scoffield77@gmail.com 192 Posted August 18, 2012 yeah I've stop playing DayZ and contributing to the forums all to gather.I got this feeling the Dev's don't care about the suggestion forums. I never see them post on any of the idea's on here. quite frankly I think Rocket spins more time on Reddit and 4chan then he does on the official forums.I don't half blame him cause most the retards hover around here, but the good idea's get thrown under the carpet too. though I don't know if i'm right, just never see him post on the suggestion thread.and I agree LOG!N. i would rather rebuild actual society rather then build a craze man bomb shelter. Though I do think the feature should be their, but it would have to require some mad physics and dept restrictions (can't go pass the stone/ Dirt falls where unsupported) Maybe there's something he's seeing that we are just not seeing haha
rockwood 10 Posted August 18, 2012 going back to the topic of how to protect you generators or whatever, maybe they could have a key or something unique that one player has so when he or she logs off it stays with them, so the only way to use the generator is if you have this unique key, so people cant randomly come on and take the benefits of your hard work. i admit this doesn't solve the problem of people destroying what you build. It's suppose to replace the backpack.

The only way you create a water proof idea is by criticising it to find flaws. Again there probably is peeps who would, its jsut too much reading for the casual browser :(Thank ye anywayz XD

Tbh though I literally have spent well over a decade getting stoned with mates and discussing the perfect zombie game, this forum has been a worthwhile release of a 10-year vintaged rant XDI do hope the devs consider this though, part of me feels like they have but its so many steps away from where they are currently at with testing, that their either waiting till they reach that page, or not even considering it with the first standalone version (ie they wouldnt even consider it until they see the reception of the first game) which would be tragic, and tbh i think if that was done it would be more on side of the studios cutting costs rathe then the devs wanting to leave features out for a sequel. Wouldnt be the first time ive heard of it happening in other game developments too, and seeing as there seemed to be alot of resistance to DayZ becoming standalone (which im assuming WarZ gave a kick up the arse for the Bohemia to stop fucking around) I wouldnt be surprised if lots of features intended for the standalone get omitted.Fucking tragedy when creative ideas are ultimately guided by profiteering whores. Otherwise for a start there would be more staff to sift through all this!! :(But yea, doesnt stop giving me hope, this is BY FAR the closest to a proper zombie game ive wanted, so i really hope they take something out of what weve been discussed in this and PLENTY of other threads (albeit if they are drowned out by repeatative rubbish)

I certainly think theres !PLENTY! of customisable defences and traps that are lacking in the game, but they should all be able to be overcome. If keys were introduced to the generator, or even to vehciles, there should also be a mechanic for where you can "pick" that lock, or "hotwire" a car. 3rdparty 229 Posted September 12, 2012 fuck it, bumpety bump bumpcleaned it up a bit but seeing as there seems to be alot of new posters, would be interested to see if anyone has any other "industry targets", thoughts or criticisms of this idea.or just generally their thoughts on it :)
3rdparty 229 Posted January 12, 2014 BumP! COuple of other brief ideas on reflection. The new shipwreck location on standalone looks like an amazing place for a base, it could also easily be equipped with radio, radar and water purification facilities that have been mentioned in previous posts and threads.
