Why is it so fricking hard to get a gun on this game. Today I just got done picking up a gun for once I was excited to go "try to hunt" since I finally had the tools for it. Only to get killed with in 2 seconds of picking it up. Finally find another gun, bandaging my self real quick so I can pick it up. Finish poof gone! WTF is wrong with this game and entire city of buildings and there's only like 3 fucking things you can pick up? Really out did it on this game... That's for sure.

Not too hard if you look in the right places. However the right places tend to be where other people hang out waiting to blow your brains out (e.g that military base with the tower).

Dude. I've found hatchets, crowbars, and guns in so many buildings. Just crawl into Cherno and risk the fire-station or the Church, you'll get a gun, I guarantee it, that is, if you get to them of course. Last time I went into that fire-station, I found 2 player corpses along with like 6 dead zombies and some barbed wire that I cut through to raid the stash and M4A1 upstairs.

I don't always go to the big cities, but it's the only place that ever seems to have items and even there it's extremely rare. I'll go to villages and there's no houses you can even go inside, that's kinda lame. It seems like 1/10 houses I come across I can go inside just to find some tin cans, wow cool exciting 2 hour game play...

Barns have civilian guns.

Cities have military grade guns.

Guns are really only useful in PvP anyways unless you have a good gun. The Axe is the god mode zombie killing weapon.

I feel your pain! I pretty much have every gun known in the game saved up in my Ural. I was up in white mountain I think it is.. there is a very tall radio tower. I started to climb the ladder got half way up and a zombie was climbing down. He beat me a couple times and wounded me so I started to bleed. I thought my best chance would be to climb back down and shoot him. On my way down I fell un-consous and the zombie killed me. Thats after 8 days surviving and close to 700Zombie kills.

I ran back to base and re-suplied with the necessities so within 20 minutes I was up and running again. Decided to make a run for the north east where a buddy passed over a guillie suit and a M4A1 Halo SD. Stuck it in a tent and saved it. Logged off and today I spawned in. Got the gun and ran for 2 minutes in the middle of the woods and got shot dead.

Man I have never played a stupider game in my life. Yes it has exciting moments, but they are far and in between. This game is nothing more than a time consuming WASTE.

Don't get me wrong I was having fun today. I managed to creep around one of the big citys, seen people getting murder. Snuck into the super market got lucky and got an alice pack and some food maps/compass/watch finally got setup with the items you need apparently was on my way to leave found an ak picked it up died. Been down hill since, can't seem to get the supplies or find anything. Seems a bit strange you don't spawn with a 9mm or atleast a hunting knife...

Hitting barns or if your really lucky a deer stand are your best bets, they usually have a rifle or a pistol or at the very least a hachet to help you out..other than that if your really finding it hard, do a sneak through balota..a little bit less of a chance of getting killed as much as in the cities..and also a higher chance of finding a gun..but get in get out thats it..dont hang around hoping for better shit because you will probably die

You can easily find rifles, shotguns and pistols in barns and residential areas. On populated servers barns are your best bet as they're often off the beaten path and haven't been looted yet.

I just started playing this weekend, got myself going with an enfield and 1911 as well as many tools only to get capped in the butt, but that's half the fun. With my new found knowledge my next character ran cherno for a revolver, enfield, matches, and I even found a GPS (shh) in about an hour.

Don't wander aimlessly - identify where you are when you spawn and make smart moves to maximize your initial pickups. If you move too slow you risk getting to the point of desperation, which is when you get careless and someone kills you.

God i'm fukin immature..i lol'd :D ...If only it wasn't so true, i have lost count of the amount of AK's i have had to leave scattered around while people are struggling to get a hatchet.

If you just absolutely positively have to go to Cherno to get a gun..or Elektro, hit the place like a mad bitch on her monthlies looking for a man to scorn. Hit all of the obvious places like the fucking Flash, get in and out , dont worry about the marathon of zeds trailing you, duck , out and around buildings only stopping to pick up a gun , preferably a winnie or dinner bell and score a pistola as well if you can. Everyone disses the Mak but it will headshot as good as any other gun in the game at close range. Lead your little trail of dedicated followers to the nearest hill and pop them. You should be able to score a weapon in under two miutes once you get to the outskirts of either of these two sniping zones.

Of course if your game plan is to hang around and enjoy the pvp fest then you need to go sneak mode..but crawl..fuk no. All you are doing is giving everyone a good zoomed view of your ass sweat as you prone towards a sure death.

Damn, got glitched and forced to die after finding a cool backpack. You just can't win with this game, I can see why so many people spawn items... I might have to join them my time is more vaulable then the loading.

Hey nobody is going to hold it against you if you don't like this game (well, a few won't anyway). It's OK. Hell, it's even OK if you stop playing it and find something that doesn't chafe your jimmies so much. There are a helluva lot of games out there, a few of them are even good, might be time to take a look at them...
