Yes, because the OP and said bandits only play on the one server. Otherwise I hope you're not advocating combat logging. Edit: I would say currently bandits only used handcuffs because your body would disappear after you respawned. Since this is now fixed maybe they'll just shoot you instead.

This is the mentality that ruins DayZ in my opinion. You don't need a gun to survive in DayZ but they're so common that it promotes PvP, They should be a luxury item like a car in vanilla mod.If I wanted to get my PvP fix I would play Wasteland not DayZ.
