Would you guys love the Leaderboard back?

Just curious how many would like leader board active?

Or does it even matter to you fellows. Understand DayZ staff is under a lot of pressure and hard work within this massive growing project of success, but I would enjoy seeing the leader board enabled as seeing true stats within the game.

I think leaderboards take away from the game, it adds a motivating factor that has nothing to do with surviving in Chernarus.

It's just another form of 'Achievements' really.

Surviving in Chernarus was one of the leaderboards...

And, as it turns out, not everyone plays the game with the same goals and desires as you.

And that's okay.

Leaderboards were awesome but I'm willing to wait until they can fix them up a bit. They were seriously broken last time. I doubt they will bring them back before they find a more comprehensive means to deal with the hacking issue.

I would like to see the leader-board back if they excluded survivor/bandit kills and included things you have done in one life like:

Distance traveled on foot

Distance traveled in a vehicle

Distance swam

Zombies killed with a melee weapon

Zombies killed with a vehicle

Zombies killed with thrown cans and bottles

Towns visited

Players bandaged

random stuff that isn't a kdr board is alot more fun and will encourage more diverse gameplay.

I think you should have your own personal profile to look at your stats and attempts.

But not the leaderboard. Too many peeps in game trying to get on it, just promotes leeroy enfield mountain trolls.

Sure. I was just pointing out that your opinion was kind of wrong.

It's not wrong, you just disagree with it. It would do you well to learn the difference.

My point was that having a motivating factor such as '# of survivors killed' will impact the way the game is played, and since DayZ is a multiplayer game this affects all of us.

The way I see it (yes, opinion again), players should be motivated to survive because the gameplay is good - not because of an outside factor such as getting your name on the DayZ homepage or earning achievements.

Can you tell me how that opinion is 'wrong' oh wisest owl?

I had 207 headshots and 207 zombies killed, aka 100% headshot ratio, then I accidentally wiped my char by misclicking beside the options menu, (you know, that big fat slay-your-hardcore-char-in-one-click-button, respawn). Didn't take it too well lol.

Dunno, wouldn't really care if leaderboards came back, more concerned about the removal of this retarded respawn button or at least adding a yes/no confirmation box on something as important as losing days/weeks of progress in a single freaking misclick.
