Okay, so here's the question. Why is it that in a game where it is pretty much the end of the world via a Zombie Apocalypse WE ALL KILL EACH OTHER??? I mean WTF? If this really happened people would kill people but not at such a large scale. People KILL people ON SIGHT; now that just isn't right.

neither were nazi's, they were everyday folk who when given orders carried themout, who removed section of thier community to an out group, who dehumanised the group to a point they no longer needed to feel remorse and it wasnt until they were pushed into a more 'normal' state of community and told what they had done was wrong by soemone else in authority that they even really thought about those actions properly, up until that point they justified it to themselves and made it all ok ... the inner ape came out to play in an enviroment that supported it, alot of co-ordinated apes can do a lot stuff very quickly

To be fair she was talking to the guy who said he would kill for certain reasons. Killing is a huge thing to do. Givin the right motive it is easy though. Its usually the after effect that fucks people up more so. Just being involved in a death, witness can effect some people horribly. Others are fine and just move on. We are all diffrent as any forum will point mout we all say/do what ever the hell we want. We also say whatever we want as everyone seems to get in shit for by some one else who says whatever they want.

I play with close friends. Food, medicine, tools, equipment, weapons. All of these can be given to them so they can survive alongside with me. Anyone not in our group is a threat to our livelihood or is possibly carrying items that we can use.

I think it's largely a matter of pride for most people with a KoS mentality.

It's hurtful & downright embarrassing to be the one who trusted, the one who got back-stabbed, the one who died. That takes a degree of emotional intelligence to process. Much easier to shoot first & convince yourself that you're a survivor with a winning strategy and you don't need anybody else.

Though, keep in mind that this social experiment is being conducted on one niche subset of humanity - gamers. It's not really an accurate representation of how the majority of the population would respond to a real zombie apocalypse - or so I keep telling myself :)

The game is a FFA deathmatch, with zombies. At least in its current state. Bandits need to make a return, or this will continue. Everyone is shoot on sight, there are no *friendlies* anymore.

Gets the blood pumping, however. But things need to change or players will slip away.
